If it was your lot they'd be more worried about covering up a cross round their neck than their faces ;)

You think I have been wearing a crucifix round my neck for over 50 years to games at Ibrox and never had a bother

Did they bid 4.5 for Finnbogason? Where did you see or hear that, I've read people saying we wouldn't bid more than 3.5 for him.

I'm saying we should be prepared to bid 5 or 6 for the right player, because I think we can afford it. If Heerenveen wanted 5.5 would we have matched that asking price. The reality is we haven't actually paid 4 million for anyone since Scott Brown was signed. When we start signing players for 4, 5 or 6 million again, then I'll believe that we are prepared to pay that sort of money for the right player.

Sorry, it was the Augsburg bid that put the 4.5m in my head. There doesn't seem to be much certainty over our bid(s). We could/should spend more in these two coming windows no doubt, but I'm not going to start criticising them yet for things that may or may not happen. It was the first window, effectively a two-week window, to spend this new CL money. We spent a fair bit. Of course I wish our striking purchases had made more of an impact but such are our circumstances.

Don't be daft, we're all Catholic hating bigots who's eyes start to burn if we look at anything to do with the Catholic Church for too long, even us Catholic Rangers fans.

We're always the ones that bring the religion into things as well apparently...

There is no reason to spend money in January. Players cost more and are reluctant to move at the best of times, let alone the situation we're in.

Hey £6m rated player, fancy coming along and playing in front of 10-25k fans in awful weather and maybe a few domestic cup games too? No didn't think so!

It was a joke, settle down you rocket.

And as if I'm not going to bring up the long history of violent bigotry your fans are infamous for when we have one of you making spiteful unfounded accusations that our support would target stewards in their personal lives. Your fans have prior for doing almost exactly that, as I alluded to in my post before. I wouldn't throw stones in that glass house, you haven't paid for it yet :pac:

Sorry your fans have shown recently they are capable of many things and if you go onto various other forums plent of tic fans are happy to accuse these stewards of being wee Hu**ish Orange Barstewards who deserve a kicking.
And its amazing how many times things you say are in jest when it suits ;)

If you're wondering why a lot of the things I say to you are in jest it's because I don't take you very seriously whatsoever.

For example you've just said that because some people online said someone "deserves a kicking" that there is a good chance some fans will target and attack these people in real life, should they see their faces.

The other day I said Samaras should be shot. brb that'll be armed response at my door now

You know as well as I do or should that those are two very different circumstances now away and have a wee cry about the poor oppressed Green Brigade
Because if you don't take anything I say seriously I will go and have a good laugh that you think I give two f*cks really get a grip ;)

Not at all why should it be a joke or do you believe Celtic fans aren't capable of that

I've never heard of a steward being targeted by Celtic fans outside of the ground. Your use of the word reprisal brings up connotations of paramilitary style action. I don't think the GB or other Celtic fans groups are a paramilitary organisation.

I think there's a danger of overreaction from security at the moment. Why were the stewards moving in on groups of supporters like that, was it because they were singing a particular song? Was it because there was an individual there who was banned recently? Even if that was the case unless the particular individual was engaging in violent behaviour, what's the point of making a big deal of it and ejecting him there at that time? Stop him getting in the next day if he was banned. I'm not comfortable with that kind of aggressive stewarding and security and I don't think it's the right way to deal with any potential security problems.

If it was the case that those fans were breaking seats or vandalising property then fair enough, I don't see any evidence of that in that incident though.

With the record you have for getting upset over my posts it really is too late to pretend you don't care, sorry.

Our circumstances have changed since qualifying for the last two CL Group Stages, that's the point I'm making. We should be willing to spend more than we have been recently on the right individual signing if needed, due to those changed circumstances.

Well we haven't had the chance to spend the money from the second one. I think we have to defer judgement on that one.

I really find it astonishing that people believe that Celtic fans are all nice guys who wouldn't cause trouble I know thy are in a minority but they do exist

I don't get upset I get this strange felling of sadness with the guff you come away with. My god you really believe your own self importance don't you. To be honest what you think or do is of very little importance to me. Scratch that it is of no importance.

You have priors for throwing big tantrums on here and assuming I'm trying to get a rise out of you even when talking to other people - so once again your claims that you don't care or that I'm being self-important are in contrast with reality.

Talk is cheap, if you want to give the impression that you don't care then don't respond to me or better yet don't post in the thread. I've yet to see you raise a single good point and every time you're challenged on anything you back out and start name calling anyway.

That doesn't mean a security person would have to hide his identity in the event he might be filmed and would subsequently be targeted by covert members of the GB or other fellow travelers:eek:.

It could be a bit of paranoia on his part, what with all the over-reaction to recent events and especially if the stewards are being instructed to go around the place in the stands trying to enforce a stupid discriminatory Act that outlaws certain songs being sung at football matches. The whole thing is getting beyond ridiculous.

I think you're on the wind up. No match this weekend, the wind playing havoc at Stenhousemuir?

Anyone trying to enter Celtic Park dressed as that idiot would be refused entry and probably arrested for wearing terrorism garb. Now they are employed and endorsed by the club!

Look as far as I see at least I am putting a possible reason forward I never said that was the case it is more than you or anyone is doing so come on why for what reason does he have his face covered

Haha I noticed. I noticed you'll "Thank" some posts making the exact same point I've already made too ;)

You're entitled to your opinion anyway, the last few weeks have been a real eye opener when it comes to the Celtic support.

Mod Post: A big dose of cop on needs to be shown by a very small number of posters in this thread. If I see any more signs of people trying to bait others or trying to use non club related matters to goad other posters, then some posters will be looking at anything from a card to an outright ban.

The thread probably warrants a bit of a look through, so some cards may be handed out on the basis of what gets found in people's posts.

None of the 5 Fir Park arrests were GB members btw, but don't let that stop some of ye!

Yet it was all the GB seats that got broke and nobody saw anything despite them being on final warnings and didnt report anything. The penny will never drop, will it?
