Have you ever come face to face with a real racist?

    I remember I was walking home from a night out in the city centre 2 years back. I live in the suburbs and it's a 40 minute walk. I would usually get a taxi but didn't have the enough cash on me that night. I was about 10 mins from my house on a quiet street when in the distance I could see a stocky man walking towards me. There was nobody else around. I thought it was strange for somebody to be walking towards town at that hour. I crossed the street and he followed me. He asked to use my phone to call his mate (oldest trick in the book). I told him to f**k off so he pounced on me and pummelled my face and stole my phone and wallet while shouting racial profanities at me. I still have the scars to this day.

    Kinda, Was coming back from a soccer friendly in the old landsdown road stadium, 1970,s, Ireland were playing Spain,and me being of a very sallow complexion was set upon by a gang of Irish lads who taught I was Spanish :rolleyes: they beat the **** out of me.:(

    Yep. I usually let them go on for a while before telling them that my girlfriend is Chinese.

    Myself and a friend got a load of racial abuse in London a few years ago. Group of dudes who looked like they were from the Middle East kept shouting profanities at us and calling us whiteys and so on... personally I found it hilarious.

    So..you're saying that you got robbed and beaten up by an alien of some sort?

    Humans are a species, not a race.

    Anyway, the answer is maybe. I've been shouted and thrown stuff at sometimes but I managed to walk away so I don't find myself in that situation. So I don't know if they were truly racist or just stupid.
