If there's no panic on you to sell the calf wait until your round test and it'll be sorted out. If you're going to finish the calf don't bother doing anything. I sent a heifer to the factory a couple of weeks ago with the finest set of balls you ever saw on a female outside of those certain dark little corners of the internet seemingly frequented by some posters on here to judge by some of the links they post from time to time:D.

I think this is the form but I'm not fully sure http://www.agridata.ie/daf_forms/ER%2094C.pdf

I thought it was the Form ER94(b) but I don't see it on the website.

Now I'm off to hang lights in the shed! Tis the season to be off your trolley and all that.

You need to get form ER94 B from your local DVO. If you phone them they might email it to you if you ask nicely.

Hi sorry for resurrecting a long dead thread but,

Is there any facility on agfood to change the sex of an animal or do you still have to do it the old fashioned way by posting in the form? Thanks

Easily identifiable with blue haircut. The drama ensues!!!

You can change it before it’s processed (a few hours usually). Otherwise it’s the form. Easy enough. Did two last year that I mixed sexes up during reg.

no vet sign off or anything like that anymore.

No - Fill out Form ER94B. Return form by snail 🐌 mail.

Given the original thread was 8 years ago, a lot has changed in the meantime. Under new rules coming in next year, all tags must have a number and preferred pronouns for the calf. e.g "001234 (she/her)" for heifers.

Freemartins are where you're gonna get complications.
