Given the risk that this thread may be locked fairly sharply LOL. I need to get something off my chest LOL. When reading threads, emails, texts LOL. Why do some people have to add LOL to the end of every sentence LOL. The line wasn't that funny LOL. What is funny though LOL, is when I read that Ross O'Carroll Kelly's Mum Finnoula LOL, thought LOL was short for Lots of Love.

I tried it at home - text to mum 'apparently Johnny and Mary have separated. Kids are upset - LOL'

Am I the only one irritated by the overuse of LOLs?

Its a dangerous word alright. “Laugh out loud". Misuse it and you better hope you can run fast, because it does NOT mean "lots of love"!!!

I must confess when I type LOL, 9 times out of 10 I am not actually laughing out loud. ISITC* might he the height of it.
