This is true, particularly if Murray is too. Otherwise we might be reduced to playing Earls at OH  (Wasn't that once touted as a possibility by Kidney?)

Well, I personally would start TOD if he was fully fit and looking good in training, but Dougall did do well today and I think it would be harsh for Penney to drop him, and I'd say he's likely to stick with him tbh. Who would TOD replace?

Dougall was the real motm today(as much as I love Earls). TOD only has a few minutes off the bench for the A team. TOD hasn't a hope of starting next week.

Don't know a lot about Holland - should I be very worried at the prospect of him being our sub outhalf for next week?

Would be a worry alright, because he is 4th choice behind Keatley/JJ/Murray at present.

Holland isn't in the HC squad.

He can be added before Tuesday if needed.

I thought with stander and botha on the bench this week that both would start next week - however it would be hard to drop dougall

only changes I can see are sheridan and hanrahan for the injured murray and keatley and botha for archer

very inexperienced halfbacks for such a big game, we'll do well to get a bonus point, never mind the win, then again we hammered them a few years back when nobody gave us a chance, I think they have a bit of a mental block about us just as Ireland do with NZ

gloucester away however should be very winnable especially if some of our injuries have cleared up

    I wouldn't mind seeing Stander at 8.

    Speaking of number eights: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/cardiff-blues-star-robin-copeland-6386236

I'm going to call it and say that this means CJ won't be kept on. Both Butler and Coughlan are contracted till 2015.

  • Wow, big move!

Not sure about that. We have loads of backrows. Butler, Coughlan and Stander can all play 8 with POM able to play there too. Add in TOD, DOC2, Dougall and it's starting to look a bit crowded. That's not taking into account Holland, Ronan and Buckley in the academy.

    murray kinsella

Casey Lualala to Grenoble is really picking up steam. Would be a good move for both parties in my opinion.

My point is Stander is out of contract at the end of this season (source) so Copeland would be a direct replacement?

Well as things stand we don't know what Stander will do, obviously those involved will have a fair idea as to what his status will be next season. Wouldn't make sense if we are holding onto all of our current 8s.

back row and back three we have plenty of options

it's half-backs and centres where we need to strengthen please

this guy never struck me as an outstanding player, another willing workhorse, of which we have plenty already

Looks like a big carrying lump to replace Stander. I'd prefer to keep Stander tbh.

not sure he is better than butler tbh...but a decent player alright

If LLL is off, would anyone think about trying Zebo at 13 in a rabo game or two after xmas?

Paddy Butler would be better off leaving, unless of course Stander is off.

    One has to go.

He is what? 4th string number 8? and doesn't have much position versatility either.

Suspected knee ligament damage for Conor Murray. He'll have a scan later today. Awful news for Munster.

Well he was starting ahead of Stander before injury and can play 6 too, so that's not really true

****e, didn't look too bad when he was walking off but that twist looked nasty.

Hopefully he won't be out long.

I don't get the significance of this? "Man shakes team-mate's hand" is hardly the stuff of legend, am I missing something?

Is the Munster match from yesterday available online anywhere?

I can't find the full match on youtube, does anyone have a link to either the full match or extended highlights?

I don't know the result yet so would prefer not to read this thread, if someone has a link mayme they could send it me via PM

    Thanks
    Kevin
