Think Kilcoyne is crucial though for making metres.

Cronin not too bad at doing it either though!

A few places could have gone either way but overall the team was known once we saw the A squad.

Would have started Cronin, Botha, Stander, Dineen and maybe JJ too.

Hope Casey does get some gametime tbh. Jones and Earls in particular need to be reading Laulala's offloads, like Jones did against Cardiff...he is our main weapon, and they need capitalise on that.

Slightly worried about our scrum, but the bench is pretty strong.

Ah I think Kilcoyne (along with POM) is a key part of Munster's attacking strategy, particularly from slow ball. He's great ability to take from a static ruck and go through the middle, which is often a key part of a big move, or to break a tackle. He's SOB lite in that respect at times.

Gone for season then, damn it.

A blow... still think he has the best darts of any hooker in Ireland, and is a quality player.

It's an opportunity for Casey and Scannell though, let's hope one of them takes it.

What are Bohane and Dineen positions? Strictly 12's? Strictly 13's? If they play both which would you consider their primary spot?

Dineen more of a 12 and Bohane more of a 13 IMO

I would have thought that they were both predominantly 12s. For the A team, Dineen is generally the one that starts at 13 if both are playing, yesterday was the first time Bohane has played 13 in a long time afaik.

Damn. Would've liked to have seen him in blue tbh, until we find our feet at 13 anyway.

so Laulala is heading off, we aren't even filling our NIQ positions at the moment and another one is off - I expect a top quality signing especially after the failures in the close season because of IRFU regulations - with a lot of big earners off the books in recent seasons we need a big name in, plenty of time to prepare ahead so no excuses this time

Laulala has been too hit and miss, more of the same today with some nice offloads mixed with passes to nobody, so I'm not too disappointed that he is leaving. Honestly Mannix should follow him out the door as well.

Do we have the clout to attract a high-quality signing?

I like Laulala, I admit he had some poor passes today, but he's still our best distributor and he had some class offloads today too. And this was probably one of his quietest games this season.

Possibly we do have the clout but I doubt we have the money. I like Casey as well normally puts in a shift also.

I think next week will be very tough. Perpignan at home are always difficult to beat and they showed flashes of excellence today despite being missing players... there are also arguments that the ref heavily favoured Munster today. I'd have to watch the game back to pass judgment but I'll go with the common opinion for now.

They're going to have some of their players back, the likes of Mafi...possibly Marty and maybe a few of their pack? Was Lopez injured, and will he be okay?

The only thing in our favour is that they may have less of an interest after we got a BP. But if they beat us and deny us a BP, they're definitely in the running. It would mean that if they beat Gloucester in France, and Edinburgh away, they would likely top the group. It shows how important a BP at the minimum is for us.

I would absolutely start Cronin and Botha. They are our best scrummagers, they will give us a solid platform, and I think that Perpignan will target us there otherwise. If Murray is out, that would be a massive, massive blow. I would start Dineen too, Downey is too one-dimensional. Maybe start Stander too.

Lopez was definitely injured, he was struggling before he came off.

USAP will go for it because they are home, l'esprit de clocher and all that. However they have big games coming up in the Top14 (away to Castres and then away to Stade Francais) so I can't see them putting out a full strength side.

12 games into the season and we've 20 different try scorers so far this season, Kilcoyne and Dougall added to the list today.

Dougall putting it up to TOD, wonder what way they will go next week.

Is TOD in the HC squad?

Even if he is, I think Dougall is likely to be kept on for now tbh.

If Keatley is out for next week then Holland will have to added to the squad.

No but he can be added anytime up to the Tuesday before the game. He played in the A game over the weekend and if he pulled through that then is probably in contention to be added if not selected for next weekend.

As for keeping Sean, I might too but if we got the TOD from last season back then I'd go for him in a flash.

This is true, particularly if Murray is too. Otherwise we might be reduced to playing Earls at OH  (Wasn't that once touted as a possibility by Kidney?)

Well, I personally would start TOD if he was fully fit and looking good in training, but Dougall did do well today and I think it would be harsh for Penney to drop him, and I'd say he's likely to stick with him tbh. Who would TOD replace?
