The fertilized duck egg.. Girlfriend is always eating them so I have the odd one. Surprisingly nice.

Want to try the Century egg though.. Weirdest thing I've ever heard of.

I've tried the egg. Was called thousand year egg in the place I had it. Wasn't that bad too be honest, smells worst than it tastes. They covered it in garlic and chilies that had been fried in soy sauce, so that might have been why it didn't taste too bad. The consistency is not too dissimilar to to a normal egg. Weird aul stuff altogether, but I've had worse.

Thousand year (or hundred year if its only a few weeks old ) egg is just a preserved egg.

Balut is simply boiled duck egg with the chick formed inside ;) you can order based on how many days old (older = more crunchy, I'm not a fan of the crunchy ones)
