The ones you get free with your coffee in Toughers are a special breed. If they ever need a new material for rock-drill bit tips, I reckon these could be the way to go..

Are mince pies a British thing that made their way over or did Irish families always have them? Never had them in my house but when I lived in England they were on the table for breakfast, dinner and tea come Xmas day.

Piemaker in galway did the most incredible mince pies I had last year. Aldi's specially selected mince pies are pretty great too : )

Will Superquinn mince pies survive the Supervalue takeover? I hope so. Love my mince pies from Superquinn.

Never liked mince pies, but Butler's cafe won me over. 8/10. I had one in Thunder's cafe downstairs in Clerys this afternoon and it was only gorgeous. 9/10.

My issue with the the ones at home was that there were always too many squishy sultanas in them. Yuck.
