    Hi,

I am travelling to Rome, arriving late tonight (23:30) into Fiumicino Arpt.

Can anyone advise on taxi's here - I have heard that after a certain hour that taxi prices are de-regulated and taxi price can be quite steep.

Is this the case, and should I try book taxi service in advance - or is it OK to land and try get a taxi on spec?

    Thanks

FCO website says the taxi fares are fixed to several named destinations (see link below), whether this is observed or not I don't know. You'll be too late for the train to Termini (the main metro station where Lines A & B intersect), the last train leaves the airport at 23:38.

Obviously avoid any chancers inside the terminal who offer to take you to Rome.

The cars for the taxi service of the City of Rome are white and can be recognized by the sign "TAXI" on the car top and by the identifying licence number on the doors, on the back and inside the car.
