Yes its that time of year, when we all become kids again for one night. Where people who dont usally watch The Late Late Show, all those who pretend to hate The Late Late Show, and all those who claim wont be watching The Late Late Show, will all be watching, yes, The Late Late Toy Show.

What ever your feelings about Gaybo, Plank, Tubbers, the waste of TV License Money, The Billy Barry Kids, the kid with the glasses who LOVED clocks, the FB Campaign for the kid with Middle Child Syndrome to Co Present, the show we all love to hate, most of us, will actually be sitting down to watch.

Forget about TV3s attempt to hijack an Irish Institution, tonight RTE is where it's all, sit back, enjoy, laugh, poke fun, re write that santa list, do that drinking game, grumble about the more than likely over run. Share it all here with everyone else sitting in on this Friday evening/night on the only official, and fully approved, AH Late Late Thread.

There's a band of ten year olds who will be doing Highway to Hell by AC/DC.

Due to going out tonight, I shall get all my cringes out before lunchtime. Tubs ability to be incredibly patronising to children is legendary.

I can't stand Tubbers, so watching him in a Xmas jumper being his patronising self would be torture for me.

Anyways, Alan Carr & Graham Norton is on tonight.

Because the word OFFICIAL is in capital letters obviously, that's the way things have always been done here and will continue to be done forever.

    Because I said it is.

Plus, the Mods usually make an exception to it, being the Toy Show, and don't give the Blah Blah Blah redirect to the TV Forums.

    Cheers guys.

If adding more joy to my childrens lives, watching their little faces glowing as much as the fairylights on the tree or having their hearts as warm as the roaring fire they sit in front of watching the Toy Show well then, guilty as charged.

I'm not going to deny them something that can be so magical

What I hated the most about the Toy Show as a kid was every few minutes the good stuff would stop and we'd have "Now here's St. Mary's National School Choir" with a dull Xmas hymn, an ad break, a short look at a toy and then another "Now here's St. Paul's Primary School Choir" with another dull Xmas hymn.

The Late, Late is sh*t, Tubridy is an awful arsehole, and I will not be watching.

But I did play on the toy show with my school band in the mid 80s :pac:

What was the story with this? I have mental images of Martin King in a balaclava.

I don't think they made an exception last year.

Really hope they keep this one in After Hours. It's not fair on the regular LLS regulars in the TV forum and most of the "lulz" are had in the AH thread anyway.
