Groves would give Ward a better fight, Ward is all wrong for Froch. Obviously Ward would still beat Groves but it would be a better scrap than Froch - Ward.

Brilliant after your post right above that!

I was waiting for someone to spot that. Like I said, it's in the article why. I think I also explained the position in an earlier post.

People getting too wound up about this now. Yes, Groves was denied a fair chance to fight it out down the stretch and for all we know he may have won it. But he also might have lost, he also might have been knocked out, and he all almost certainly would have been done on the cards.

Ending the way it did, Groves is the guy who fought brilliantly and was wronged. That's a results. Boxing is different to other sports in that way. The judges might decide who goes home with the trinkets, but to a large extent it's the public and the media that decide who won.

Groves exits this fight a well known figure in the wider British public, and a fighter now known to boxing audiences around the world. This fight has opened doors for Groves, not closed them. And in boxing that's what winning and losing is really about.

My point is they where both at it and as bad as eachother and in my opinion neither deserved a point taken off, But Jim Watt only ever noticed when Froch fouled,

I was not going by what Watt said. The man's commentary is very misleading and hopelessly biased. I think both fighters should have had points deducted, groves was not blameless, but Froch to me seems to be doing more of the blatant fouling. Groves proved to be smarter in and out of the ring. Khan's motives are probably not sincere, but he is right that Carl should consider packing it in my opinion.

What does Carl say to his cornermen at the 2 minute sixteen mark in that video, i can't make out what he said.

Khan's just returning the favor. Froch did mention that Khan should retire after Khan's loss to Garcia.

As for the fouling. Both were fouling. Froch a wee bit more I thought.

(Was going to have a bet on the Bellew fight at the weekend)

Quite difficult to say, I'm not the best at lip reading and I had to put the video on mute as soon as that horrendous 'music' started, so I haven't a clue.

No, wont be set until the earliest the New Year. Groves actually has opened up more options despite loosing.

No and its a shít fight, hopefully will never be confirmed. When you can think of no other outcome than Mayweather to KO an opponent. You know the fight is terrible.

It looks like Froch would prefer to beat up Chavez and then retire.

Ward beat Froch convincingly and should be licking his lips at the prospect of another fight after seeing how badlly Groves out boxed him.

Id be very surprised if we saw Ward-Froch again, Froch knows Ward will beat him again despite all hes sh*t talk, he has to after the way Groves out boxed him and Groves is no Ward.

Froch wont want to go out on a loss, I think he'll take the mandatory defense and then retire as its the only thing that makes sense.

Haha I hope it's a negotiating plan otherwise he is going to lose face very quick.also I'm not sure he would beat up Chavez that easy either. In fact I'd say his best bet is a 3rd fight with kessler and try and con the people.

I was thinking the sames thing!

Not surprising that Froch doesn't really want the rematch. I just don't think his ego could take a defeat to Groves. I think Groves should go after Stieglitz again.

Chavez and Golovkin are both dangerous fights for Froch. Chavez in shape would beat Froch at his own game.

Both Chavez and GGG would be easier targets to nail for Froch than Groves was.

Froch would comfortably outwork Chavez, he would get comprehensively outboxed by Golovkin and probably be stopped due the one sided nature of the fight.

Chavez is the sensible fight to take even if he might be robbed like Vera.

But both would nail Froch 2x harder than Groves. Froch beats people by overwhelming them. This would 100% not work against Chavez and Golovkin would take his head off.

GGG might knock some sense into Froch but I doubt it..If Froch chin help up for a few rounds. He would receive a viscous beating. A rematch with Groves would result in a Groves KO win imo

Chavez is not an easy fight for Froch. It has potential to be a great fight though! I say make it happen!

He let slip in a press conference that Ward will probably go undefeated in his career, so it seems he doesn't really believe he can beat Ward.

Ward won't come to England for rematch, so i think it'll spun by Froch's camp that Ward didn't really want a rematch by putting an obstacle in the way.

Also, if Carl does not gives Groves a rematch he must deep down fear he'll lose. I think he'll choose to fight Chavez as he believes it's the easiest fight of the three to secure his legacy.

I am not sold on GGG as now being capable of destroying/beating big and established SMW boxers. GGG is not all that big a MW, and he would be moving a weight up to meet guys who are really LHW men boiled down to SMW.

How can you know how GGG will react when Froch starts landing solid on him?

People getting slightly carried away with GGG i think, if he was to fight Froch there would be a substantial size difference between the two and Froch would be able to land easily on GGG too. Froch is also an excellent finisher who excels in the later rounds.

With Froch being so incredibly durable already combine that with the weight advantage and I dont think its as clear cut as you might think.

Chavez is useless,in pathetic shape aswell when you're struggling to beat Brian Vera you're in trouble,Id love to see Andy Lee get another shot at him.
