I sit in an alarm relay station for 9/10 hours a day waiting for the phone to ring and then enter in 9 digit numbers into a black box for a minimal wage.

Who has the worst Job on the boards??

Replace the black box by - near a phone ringing all the time- and enter the 9 digit code by - Entering all the nonsence the user's are saying into a non friendly database, then assign it onsite because most of the time the user is too stupid top even explain his problem clearly... or just too stupid to understand the answer predfined for a 8 year old using a pc for the first time.... Then wait patiently for them to call back and ask you the same question over and over again... Otherwise you might be lukcy, and get a password to reset, because it's wednesday, and some people always forget their password on wednesdays...

I am due to go back to this job in a few weeks oh the anticipation!!

I spend 8 hours a day sticking the little (18), (15),(PG) and (G) stickers onto videos and DVDs

Minimum wage i think, I just do it coz i don't want to be one of the bints who works in a clothes shop* for the entire summer...

There was one particular film which had a (U) on it from the UK or where ever but we had to put (15) stickers on it. It was a cartoon version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (not the disney one) but it apparently had a rape scene in it which was quite shocking!!

I put a few (G)s on Scarface though for the laugh...

Probably cost the company loads in fines...

Meh!

I babysat for the owners and they knew I was "reliable" hehe!

So they just asked me would I like to do it!

It's a really easy job just unbelievably boring!

I worked on the quays, bit out of the way from most things but sure a job is a job!

Funny thing is yesterday i pealed off al those blue stickers(they the ones?) off all my dvd collection and stuck them on my wall.

It probably took some poor sod in a warehouse fifteen seconds to stick the stickers onto each DVD!

DVDs area a bitch to put stickers on particularly the ones with the crappy heavy plastic covers! Ugh! i hate them!

The one advantage of it was that I got a few limited edition music DVD thingies through it which was sweet... I guess....

during the summer i am a sailing instructor part of my job involves teaching 100 screaching little 8 - 11 year olds or kids from 'disadvantaged' areas to sail. ones worse than the other, none of them want to be there and they hate you for trying to help. the little darlings in the 8 - 11 group scream and moan and p!ss themselves and tell you that "daddy can sew (sp?) and have you fired" and the inner-city kids think they're mad...

teaching the older kids (11 - 14 or 14 - 17) or adult or corprate is great fun though.

Yeah I used to be a life guard in this really scumy place in Dublin. God I hate kids you were lucky tho some of the kids I had were all "F*** you ill get me da ta kick ur bleeding head in!" and such like

I used to work in a "box making factory"....like making cardboard boxs....I also worked in a "snow Globe making factory"......i got fired koz i broke too many..:rolleyes:

before that he used to be the person who put staples into magazine etc..
