Was there a change in rules on sponsorship this year?

I seem to remember a new rule being discussed earlier in the year about this alright, one sponsor on the back may be ok I suppose, but hopefully it won't lead to sponsors names everywhere from sleeves to under numbers etc..!

That Laois jersey is very nice. They have changed back from Azurri.

I expect to see them on shorts too.

Should have went with a proper horizontal hoop and it would have made a great return for O'Neills.

Sure Azzurri were nearly gone, surprised they are still there - afaik they are coming away from GAA merchandise and going back into their original market

Where are O'Neills jerseys produced, does anyone know?

Another traditional hoop to be messed with?

This gives me some hope that perhaps Donegal will switch back. Haven't been a fan of the Azzurri jerseys and I'm not liking the new Waterford one, which I fear is the same template Donegal will get if they stick with them. Wait and see I guess.

Who signs off on some of these jerseys? That's a bloody awful looking thing.

Lots of people on the Tipp Banter page on facebook complaining that it looks like a Clare Jersey...don't see the resemblance myself?

Maybe cos i keep seeing Clare Jerseys with Liam Mc Carthy in front of them

That Tipp jersey is horrendous. The lack of a collar makes it worse.

It looks nice from the back.

The Yellow stripe at the front is all wrong though (no way should it come near the crest, not to mention over the crest!!), and the less said about the honeycomb the better.

Don't mind the no collar look, just the stripe is awful.

I see Heitons/Sportsworld were selling off all their Donegal Azurri 2013 tops for €10 in their Letterkenny store. must be something afoot.

Clare must be due a change in design, they've had their present jersey for 4 years now I reckon and the two prior to that both had 4-year stints too

Not true. Current design came in in 2012 while its predecessor came in for 2010.

Limerick are due a change and Wexford have had their effort since 2009. The retro resurgence that occurred toward the end of last decade looks over it would seem. Pity

I dont really mind that collars are no longer used but hopefully designs could be kept more simple

That's a shockingly bad Tipperary jersey. I think Mayo's current effort is alright, so I hope they don't make massive alterations.

The new Limerick one that was posted a few weeks back looks horrible..... :(

In fairness I think O'Neills are charging too much for jerseys.
They pretty much have the monopoly and GAA gear and seem to think they can charge what they want for jerseys etc.
when you think that the crests are not embroidered on jerseys like the are on soccer jerseys and I can't imagine the material is as expensive as we are led to believe, how on earth do county/ club jerseys cost so much?

    The crests are embroidered.

Not in Asia as someone said, the factory is in Strabane in Co Tyrone.

Jesus the new Limerick one is cat as well. What's wrong with a plain simple design? The last Limerick jersey was one of the best in the country.

    Link to the Limerick one?

Sure the Dubs went with a plain simple design and it was criticized as looking to much like a soccer jersey. Can't please some people.

This honeycomb ****e needs to end. Glad we got rid of it with Vodafone.
Whoever the hell is designing these jerseys has a lot to answer for.

Always figured it'd be a good idea to get different designers to submit their ideas to the various county boards. Would love to see completely different jerseys as opposed to the same design different county colours.

That Limerick one isn't that bad.

Its just that the other one was so nice, any jersey would look poor in comparison.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

I think it looks ridiculous tbh. I like a good plain design, or if you're going to mix it up, maybe a different colour along the shoulder area but that one just looks silly.

That's what people say when they're talking about an ugly woman. :D
