That's a lovely one, it's great when the sponsor matches the county colours,

I assume a lot of people have already seen it, but here's the Dublin jersey.

Waterford's one is good despite the massive and ugly 3 logo, I like Dublin one too, I prefer the simpler designs, the AIG logo is big but being white makes it blend in nicely.

I really hope Limerick don't change theirs, but they've used it for 3 years now so I'll be surprised if they don't change it.

Im the only person in the world who cant bring themselves to like the new Waterford jersey... I think I really hate the straight line with the block of blue but im not sure what it is exactly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73 ✭✭supersonic64

Why do sponsors introduce another colour to the jersey that isn't already there? no reason why the AIG couldn't have been in black ala Man Ure. Still it's better than the red Vodafone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,831 ✭✭✭Peanut Butter Jelly

If the AIG logo had the rectangle removed and the letters printed in navy, I'd say it would look better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,831 ✭✭✭Peanut Butter Jelly

To test it out, I made this. I think it looks better.

The AIG logo was white on the united jersey as well

Dub jersey looks far nicer with the dark lettering

New Cavan jersey is being launched on the 7th December.

It's a pity it's changing because alot of supporters bought the present incarnation during the good Summer run.

How often do counties change jerseys? If a county was planning on changing a jersey, would they have the new one launched before Christmas?

Cavan is every 3 years. We're lucky that Kingspan has been the sponsor for nearly twenty years now.

    New Waterford one is lovely.

I couldn't help wondering why there was no images of the back of the new Dublin jersey last week.I was curious to see what Átha Cliath looked like on the back.
I found out why on release day. 'AIG insurance' plastered across the shoulders. Really not happy about that.

I didnt actually catch this until after i bought it believe it or not. I still would have bought it - but thinking the same as you. Definitely takes away from the jersey.

I was more p*ssed off about the price though.

My last 4 purchases for Dublin jerseys have gone 45EUR, 50EUR, 55EUR and now 62EUR.

    Ridiculous carry on

Are the GAA getting a cut of the sales, or are O'Neills gouging people due to their dominant position?

Clare must be due a change in design, they've had their present jersey for 4 years now I reckon and the two prior to that both had 4-year stints too

Smart counties would, and have it in time for the Christmas market - Cork on the other hand..............

I'm fairly sure they got a new jersey at the beginning of 2012, it just looked very very like the previous one.

Limerick are changing, its being launched December 3rd and will be available to buy December 6th, it was on the Limerick GAA facebook page a couple of weeks back.

In fairness I think O'Neills are charging too much for jerseys.
They pretty much have the monopoly and GAA gear and seem to think they can charge what they want for jerseys etc.
when you think that the crests are not embroidered on jerseys like the are on soccer jerseys and I can't imagine the material is as expensive as we are led to believe, how on earth do county/ club jerseys cost so much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Staplor

I haven't bought a jersey in 10 years, thar material oneills use is woeful

The new Laois jersey was shown on a couple of websites today, this image from joe.ie.

    BZmu90iCMAAar7w.jpg

Pity they didn't go with the yellow numbers of the 90's!

I also notice a sponsor on the back, wonder will this make its way onto all jerseys this year, or only those counties that are bringing out new ones.

Was there a change in rules on sponsorship this year?

I seem to remember a new rule being discussed earlier in the year about this alright, one sponsor on the back may be ok I suppose, but hopefully it won't lead to sponsors names everywhere from sleeves to under numbers etc..!

That Laois jersey is very nice. They have changed back from Azurri.

Should have went with a proper horizontal hoop and it would have made a great return for O'Neills.

Sure Azzurri were nearly gone, surprised they are still there - afaik they are coming away from GAA merchandise and going back into their original market

Where are O'Neills jerseys produced, does anyone know?

This gives me some hope that perhaps Donegal will switch back. Haven't been a fan of the Azzurri jerseys and I'm not liking the new Waterford one, which I fear is the same template Donegal will get if they stick with them. Wait and see I guess.

it of a mess all right. Might look better on the players. Maybe.

O'Neills are going all out with the honeycomb.

Who signs off on some of these jerseys? That's a bloody awful looking thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,226 ✭✭✭angelfire9

Lots of people on the Tipp Banter page on facebook complaining that it looks like a Clare Jersey...don't see the resemblance myself?

Maybe cos i keep seeing Clare Jerseys with Liam Mc Carthy in front of them

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,231 ✭✭✭BNMC

That Tipp jersey is horrendous. The lack of a collar makes it worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

It looks nice from the back.

The Yellow stripe at the front is all wrong though (no way should it come near the crest, not to mention over the crest!!), and the less said about the honeycomb the better.

Don't mind the no collar look, just the stripe is awful.

I see Heitons/Sportsworld were selling off all their Donegal Azurri 2013 tops for €10 in their Letterkenny store. must be something afoot.

Not true. Current design came in in 2012 while its predecessor came in for 2010.

    Prideinthejersey.com

Limerick are due a change and Wexford have had their effort since 2009. The retro resurgence that occurred toward the end of last decade looks over it would seem. Pity

I dont really mind that collars are no longer used but hopefully designs could be kept more simple

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,384 ✭✭✭Duffy the Vampire Slayer

That's a shockingly bad Tipperary jersey. I think Mayo's current effort is alright, so I hope they don't make massive alterations.

The new Limerick one that was posted a few weeks back looks horrible..... :(
