I like the name Caoilinn but it seems it's not a very liked name.

I would have to say anything that sounds trashy: Damien (Damo), Lee, Jordan, Shauna, Stacy.

Brigid is pretty awful alright. My gran was called Brigid and even she insisted on being called Maeve instead.

Let's not forget the diabolical version of that, Brid, although it should be spelled Breedge. Everyone with this name also has the surname Murphy...

    Gail Platt.

Yeah, he was the rhino leader in it.

There was also a Cornelius in one of the episodes of The Simpsons who broke free from Springfield's Retirement Castle and went on a bit of a bender.

Grace is another name that no child should ever be called. Stop with the religious names.

When I was in primary school (Germany), there were 4 Susannes in my class.
When I went to secondary, there where 6 (!) Karins in a class of 25...

I've known, from memory, ten Slovak girls down the years.

    One was named Gabriela.

The rest were evenly split three a piece between Zuzana, Lucia and Jana :pac: I wonder has naming kids after US and UK celebrities/ song titles caught on there like it did here from the 80's onwards.

Cosmo/Cosimo/Cosima is another dreadful one, to be found among the children of celebrity luvvies.

In that group one also finds Tarquin, Cressida, Coco, Dashiell, Aleph, Arlo, Caspar, Magnus, Milo, India, Tallulah, Violet, Sasha and Rex.

PS My own fav worst nightmare combination is Rachel Griffith's kid: Banjo Patrick.

I suppose it may come down to which country your in. For instance my niece is called Audrey but she's French so the name suits her because of the way they say it and not long drawn out the way we would say it. My mother was baptised Margaret but was always called Gretta and her cousin named Margaret(what is it with irish family's all calling their offspring the same name)but she was called Molly(love that name)! I hated my name(Helena) when I was young living in Scotland I would get called Lena or even Ena:eek: What constitutes an old fashioned name when names go in and out of fashion I wonder?

Oh, do you have a little Odin?

The one I know is not in Ireland. I'm still not sure about it but I'm guessing if I actually personally knew a baby with the name I'd def like it!
