    Hi All,

I rang Eircom on Monday to give my 30 day notice as I am changing to Sky. I sent letter the same day to confirm cancellation and now today (Wednesday) my broadband speed is now 2mbps and ping 90ms compared to 16mbps and 40ms on Monday. Can Eircom limit my broadband? Or can someone let me know what is happening?

No, this is not something they should or can do. You are essentially still paying for the same service until you leave them so there is no grounds to limit your usage. I would contact them back and speak to the support agents about a tech issue and don't mention the move to Sky.

They would get in a ton of trouble with Commreg if they were caught doing something like that so I would say that it is just a coincidence.
