    *note,where I have spider there is a drawing of a spider

    clue
    Something to do with a yorkshire accent

    They're a play on accents, and the pronunciation of letters.

    It's from an archaic "mummers" theatre piece that's full of these rhymes. The character saying it is a Jack Straw. The origins and answers are long lost in time. It's more a nonsense rhyme than a riddle to be pedantic about it.
