Argos aren't very clear about the processor. Is their "Intel Celeron dual core" the reason for €50 cheaper than Curry's "Intel® Core™ i3-3217U Processor (1.8 GHz, 3 MB cache) "?

Yep, the Celeron is considerably slower than the i3. Good €50 to spend there. The Celeron is quite poor.
