    Do you not be crying into your drink by the end of that though?

    Rum Sodomy and the Lash by The Pogues does it for me. Or Queen of Denmark by John Grant if I'm feeling all emotional

    :(:mad::(

    Yeah, take that, world

    Was gonna suggest that also!

    Waits' "Heart of Saturday Night" album is also another classic boozer!

    Currently listening to Completely Hooked by Dr Hook. I'm not even drinking.

    Not an album but I listen to Rory Gallagher, Tom Waits and Townes Van Zandt, Seasick Steve, C.W. Stoneking a lot drinking. Blues stuff! Don't find it sad when I'm drunk, it's a nice melody to just throw the head back a bit and rock side to side.

    Crystal Castles' first album if I want to drink to remember.
    Cat Power's 'Moon Pix' if want to drink to forget.

    Generally though I prefer having a playlist of different artists rather than one particular album if I'm drinking.

    There is many a day when I spark open a bottle of Jack Daniels at 10 in the morning whilst wearing nothing but my boxers, with Radioheads complete collection as background ambiance.

    Who really needs an album to drink to? What's wrong with watching tv with a bottle or playing games while killing a slab? Or even being a little bit social and going to the pub to chat to people while drinking?

    Jeez - am turning into my damn father :(

    It really depends on what kind of drinking you're doing...pre drinks in a piss soaked bedsit requires a different soundtrack to drinks at 2pm poolside on a sun holiday

    If drinking alone is one of the first signs of alcoholism, then doing it to music must be a very close second.

    Really? I'd never though of the likes of 2*4 as a drinking song

    Do people actually sit around drinking by themselves with just music on in the background? Is this a thing? Honest question.
