oh was gtting a radiator in his lorry a while ago, he got 20 litres of antifreeze to put in it. Mechanic asked him where was the rest of the antifreeze, he said it would take a few drums to fill it, we where always under the idea you dilute the anifreeze with water, does anyone else only have pure antifreeze in their radiator. Local garage always write down the dilution rate for me when i am buying it

Anyone see item on Tara mines on the news, coincidentally a friend brought me down in the mine for a short tour (3 - 4 hours) last sunday.
Drove down to 1000 metres in a Hilux...machinery was unreal, loading shovels that cost half millon had remote control for digging in dangerous places.
They got £6/hr bonus every week in 1978 if they hit targets in production, on top of a huge salary.
Had a friend working in the bank in navan when they opened, she said it was like a gold rush

The machinery is kept going 24/7 3 men 8 hour shifts a day. They are only turned off every 500 hours for a service

never use anti freeze, only ready to use coolant, ,water here would eat metal ( cant use galvanised drinkers either)

buy 20ltr drum from my oil supplier,

blue for tractors, every thing else orange (or pink not great on colours)

Talking about freezing weather, we have quite afew waterpipes just laid on the ground. Never a problem with them in cold weather, Have not had one bust that I know about. However thats all with mostly 3/4inch HG piping. I put in afew extra drinkers this year, and used mostly inch NG, and never got around to burying the pipes. Are the 1inch NG more likely to burst. Bare in mine we are at sea level, and boarder the sea, so frost doesn't hit as hard here.

good operator to be fair, i starting wrapping silage and stacking when i was about ten. Did me no harm, ye would break a few things but ye learn the machine quick. We had and old elho wrapper with about 80k bales on her and she came off the tractor on me, she was fcuked but i fcuked her even more ha
