Judging by the handbrake I'd say the mileage is fairly high but thats really cheap nonetheless. Buy it for €1k, impress the neighbors with your 04 plate which they'll think you paid about €2k for, sell it in a year when the test runs.
Im sure my immediate neighbours would be very impressed with the yoke alright http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0c/Cow_female_black_white.jpg

Both are spectacular value for money for what they are: reliable, safe, decent, luxurious, well built family cars with a bit of poke to go

I used always post a picture with my posts, but since I started using Chrome I haven't figured out how to copy & paste a pic. All it seems to do is post a link to the pic. Any tips?
It's a bit annoying as I like to post a pic with my suggestions and agree it makes it easier to scan the posts you want to check out.

I use chrome too, I right click on the image and save the "image url", then insert it into the post using the image link

Drag the main pic to the tab bar and copy the URL.

Right click on the image that you want to use, click open in new tab. Go to said new tab and right click on the image and then click on copy image address and then paste that between the old [IMG][/IMG] :)

A quick google of the phone number reveals a €1000 price drop ;)

You can just right click and then select "copy image URL" without needing to open a new tab. Unless it is behind a login like facebook for example, in which case you need the extra step.

Why the winky? Ad says owner is moving out of the country. Put up ad for what can only described as a reasonable asking price (€2,950)

No callers. Nobody wants a big car with a 2.3l engine never mind a petrol one

The only way to sell this car is to drop the price to rock bottom. That's what the owner has done

I for one feel a lot of sympathy for the emigrating owner with no other option than to sell his pride and joy for a pittance :(

It was meant to suggest it was a bargain indeed.

Owner wants it gone alright so the story of leaving could indeed be true.

You get a smaller image doing that. If you do it my way it's the size you get when you hover over it :)

Too good to be true lads?

The old lad is looking for a new runaround and we spotted this. Looks like paint damage on the front and no pictures of the interior. Test runs out in 3 months too.

Looks like very bad value to me… You should be able to get one with 6+ months test for that money!

Yeah pretty much sums up the market for a 1.8 petrol mazda 6 (rock bottom)

just because of the 1.8l petrol yeah? From reviews I've read they seem a v good car.

They are a good car. Dull, but reliable. The market for older family size cars with petrol engines has completely collapsed though (in other words: nobody wants them). They have similar prices other common decent cars, such as the Ford Mondeo and Opel Vectra. Only in Ireland is a Toyota Avensis worth more. French cars are worth even less...

Anything VAG also, the 1.8T pisshats or A4s seem to command a premium too.
But for regular marques like mazda there is no market.

Lads, a quick one. I'm looking for a banger for my daily use and my budget is the bangernomics limit, should I wait until Jan/feb as there'll be more second hand cars in the market and i'll get good value for my schillings...:D, what do you guys say?

Car prices don't magically drop on 1/1, pick yourself up a nice carina now!!

I know they don't drop magically, but the little economist in me was thinking on the line of Supply and demand :D

and my OH is not forgiving as yours :P

As CHP says, it will make no difference at all once it gets to this end of the market. For sure a few month old 132 plated Hyundai i30 has already dropped €3k and will drop another €3k on January 1st, 2014. Happy new year to all the owners of nearly new Huyndais* :D

Demand is rock bottom before Christmas with some prioritising their spending and those likely to buy soon holding out for the anticipated increase in supply in the New Year. If you see something that looks like value, grab it now because there'll be more competition for it in January/February.

The interesting thing about macro economics is that you can always argue opposite directions :D

(Don't the Irish always give out about not having a penny for the whole month of January)
