I wont blame him on the shoulder injury, but i have to say, he could have boxed with that cut the last time.

It was a tiny cut, a nothing cut. With tight stitches it would have been unnoticeable come fight night. But he decided not to fight.

How many times has he pulled out of fights though? The number really is quite high.

It's one excuse after another with this clown. Cuts, shoulders, toes....

If it's not a bum or a tomato can haye doesn't fancy it.

Even when he finally made it to the ring with one of the bros he was on his bike quicker than bradley wiggins

How so? Since moving up to heavy haye has been more trash talk and publicity stunts than credible performances.

How so? Since moving up to heavy haye has been more trash talk and publicity stunts than credible performances.

Firstly, he's a cruiserweight who walloped 2 very good heavyweights in Valuev & Ruiz, an ordinary one in Chisora & lost to one of the greatest heavyweights of the modern era.
He's got a fast mouth, but his hands have been more than capable of backing up his trash talk.
Wonder why people are hammering him after a 5 hour surgery on his arm, I guess it's another publicity stunt eh?

Exactly. He is a mouth piece. Got his chance for a decent title and blew it. Took his shoe off at the end of the fight and looked an idiot. Fair enough he beat Chisora and Valuev and ruiz but they are the only heavyweights he beat. He was a good Cruiser weight and struggled at heavy. I won't miss him.

Ruiz was old and shot at that stage, had been through a few wars, was no surprise he hung up his gloves. As for valuev, he should have lost to a 50 year old small heavyweight in Holyfield.

As for the wlad fight haye come telly bottled it, refused to engage until it was too late and was in damage limitation mode for practically the entire fight.

He promised to revive a moribund division but all he's done is bring shame on boxing. The disgraceful abuse of the klitchko's and a nasty brawl after a fight he wasn't even involved in are this guys legacy in the heavyweight division.

I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery and can live a full life away from the ring, but I equally sincerely hope it's the last I've heard if him in connection with boxing.

    Stop there please.

He beat a punch drunk well over the hill Ruiz and had one the worst fights Iv'e ever seen with Valuev.

I think he gets a lot of stick over injuries because of the toe incident, that was truely one of the worst and most cringeworthy excuses I have ever heard come from a boxer, it made him look like a complete pussy so he has only himself to blame for the stick he's getting now over these unlucky injuries.

He's not had a very tough carreer, I hope he retires now, he's mouth does most of his work and I'm glad he wont get another shot at a Klitschko.

    No loss to boxing.

He was a con-artist in the heavyweight world, and it was shown once he was in the ring with Wlad.

At least we don't have to listen to his rubbish anymore.

It seems some can't separate the loud, brash talking braggart from the boxer & feel the need to diminish his boxing achievements. Sad, but there you go.

Well i Would not expect him to Tell a stranger he is thinking of having an operation. He seems sound to me polite etc. To call him a stain on boxing for having his shoulder fixed is à bit ott

I wouldn't call him a stain on boxing for getting his shoulder fixed, I would call him a stain for the way he conducted himself in the build up to the klitschko fight and then brawling in the presser with Chisora.

The nearly man, except Mr. Nearly never made it to the toilet in time.

Took too many easy options to pad his bank balance, and when he reached for the top he froze. But that's boxing, the top end is way out of raech of most boxers.

Fury v wilder would be a decent scrap, anyone any opinions of how that bout would turn out?

The heavy weight divisions aren't great at the moment with the two brothers boring us to tears. Haye promised to reignite it. He didn't. He was a mouth piece and was a great promoter of him self but he's not backed out up in the ring. I don't think Fury would back down from any fight. I feel sorry for him chasing this fight for six months. He should of been back in the ring after his first fight in America.

As frustrated as fury will be. Getting knocked out by haye Would of effected him more. Id imagine fury will be knocked out by Wilder.he is just to easy to hit. If he fights more negative like Vlad. And uses all his advantages it Would be a lot harder to beat him.

Wilder by KO. People criticise Wilder, but he's a big mo%$erfu*&er who has very good power and is very aggressive. Bad for Fury.

To be fair I can totally understand why people trash Haye.

His record of pulling out of fights is hugely frustrating for fans.

I do think he's good to watch when he fancies the job at hand. Gave a great display vs Chisora. Up to that his record at HW was iffy. Beat prob the worst HW champ in living memory and his defenses of that title were underwhelming at best in relation to the quality of opponent.

He was giving away a lot in size to most heavyweights so he picked his battles carefully. His performance vs Wlad was disappointing due to the nature of his trash talk in the build up. He could be accused of bottling it in that fight but the reality is closer to him being outclassed on the night.

IMHO he was a top class cruiser and an underwhelming HW based on his abilities and potential.

It's for the best he retires now imo as his injury record is such he can't be depended upon to make it to fight night.

Howard, when you talk yourself up as being the saviour of heavyweight boxing, you are going to attract criticism when your achievements at that level are underwhelming.
it is true he did well as a cruiserweight, he beat a long standing champion in his own backyard, after being flattened in the fourth round, he does deserve praise for that, but there is not much to praise him for in the heavyweight divison.
he beat poor opposition, spun these victories as if he had beaten top level opposition, which got him a fight with the Klitschkos. i will credit him for being a world class marketer in his heavyweight boxing career, but in the ring he ultimately demonstrated he was an above average fighter, not the all conquering, world class heavyweight fighter he claimed he was.

Wilder def KO's Fury. He is world class & I think he could give Wlad a tonne of problems.

Wilder is one of the biggest frauds in the sport.

He will be KO'd when he meets someone half decent.
