TEFL = Teach English as a Foreign Language

I just got this link for this special offer via email, and I had to share. It has..... bothered me.

And this post does not constitute being a grammar nazi, given the circumstances.

I don't think so.

The apostrophe should be used to indicate possession or missing letters. What's missing here?

Not if you work for some some sh1tty school with a dodgy 'Director of Studies' who hires backpackers , no. All the teachers where I work are Delta-qualified (as a minimum) with 5+ years of teaching experience and at least one degree in English/Linguistics/TESOL.

I think after they started offering 70% off laser eye sugrery( it can blind you if done wrong) and root canals( serious dental work). Or even better 50% off tattoos. There is nothing worse then ending up with a ****ed up tattoo on you for life because you wanted to save €150.

Generally speaking, you can use an apostrophe after a number if not doing so would be confusing.

I'm pretty sure "1000s" wouldn't be confusing.

After about 20 years of buying the odd non-stick pan, using metal utensils, scrubbing the hell out of it, then obviously having to bin it...my aul wan finally figured it out.

She even splashed out on a proper expensive one and using wooden utensils and takes care of it when washing it and everything. Fabulous so it is.
