    Hi
See attachments. make sure you buy the foam with a vapour barrier attached or otherwise put down some 500g polythene on floor and turn it up about 1" behind skirting board. Are you doing or yourself or bringing in a floor fitter ?
First do a moisture test on the concrete to see if it's dry enough to fit floor.

Thanks. That is what I had ordered, but had someone telling me it was a waste of money and just to get the thin roll of foam only. Floor underneath is bone dry. I have someone putting it down for me, as there are a few tricky corners and I'd be cursing if I made a mess of it.

    Hi
It is essential to put a vapour barrier under floor. Do it by the book for peace of mind and a trouble free floor later. It's not a diy job it takes a good floor fitter to fit a floor. I do a lot of floor inspections for companies on problem with timber flooring . Most of the floors I have inspected ( 95% as high as that ) are bad fitting practice by people who think they can lay floors. Out of that I always ask the question "did you ready the fitting instructions" the reply I always get is no ( a big mistake ) as each manufacturer have their own fitting instructions.
