PS4 Pre-Order Thread! Where are you getting yours?

not sure tbh, when i got call from smyths and told them i wanted the solus bundle, they mentioned my chances of picking up a release day console had improved as most people said they wanted the KZ bundle as first choice so solus bundles were mainly going to them who chose it first. though alot of places are saying anything right now as they dont know for sure

Its a bit of a double edged sword, yes more people will get the bundles, but on the other side of it, the solus console is in very scarce supply.

You are not put down to the back of the Queue when you upgrade your ps4 to bundle. you are one of the lucky ones to be able to upgrade.

As for a rumour that killzone mega bundle is delayed in Ireland - its just a rumour.

Just got a call to day at 12 saying they got extra bundles and was offered mega or killzone or knack. Paid off the balance in full for the second time at 5pm and they were offering bundles still on the phone just either knack or killzone. Happy days it seems.

Any brick and mortar shops selling BF4 for €60 or less.

I've it ordered but it's coming the 3-4th, if I can find it cheaper that the €58 from Amazon.

Did you check VGP? Probably about €45 from there.

That's sorts the problem of getting games late but I don't want to be forced to use my US account to play it on any non "home" console with any DLC.

Now if DLC turns out to be not be region specific then it's an option.

Best I can find is Smyths for €65.

Will DLC not work like it does currently? As in, I buy it on one account, but I'm still able to use it on another?

It's work that way on your account's home console( 1 PS4), the PS3 allows 2 consoles to be activated. You're also allowed to have you account signed in (online) on another PS4 and play you content but it'll have to be the owning account and it has to be online.

Example;

genisis87UK (forgot if that right) owns a game, you have you family sitting room console set as the home console so everyone can play including your genisis87 account.

If you want to play in your man cave then you'll need to play online and with the genisis87 account.

Sounds fine for loners like myself, thanks for explaining. Doesn't take from the fact I still hate Sony for not recognising my UK debit card and making me go down this route

Siht just got real yo. Went into gamestop over here at 6 and there was about 11/12 in the queue already queuing to get our pre order launch number (number 11) they got 26 extra consoles in my store which some were handed out tonight ( there was about 7-8) in the queue either before or just after me that managed to pay for their console tonight WITHOUT a pre order who were happy. Have mine all paid off and picked up another year of US PS+ to get the 10 dollars credit to spend on PSN. I'll be picking up a copy of Trine2 with it. 3 Hours till I get back to gamestop. Yippeeee

Been following this thread (and the xbone as well) and although much of it goes over my head it has been very interesting. I'm not trolling but have a genuine question.

It seems to me, at this stage anyway, that there are few games that have been optimised for the new consoles. Knack seems less than impressive and COD Ghosts seemes to be having some rendering issues.

What is the point of buying the console now when there is little available to make use of the additional power/features. Obviously there will be games coming down the line but it seems the consoles are being released without the necessary software to take advantage.

Just can't see the justification to buying a new console when all that is available is a slightly better rendered version of games I can play just as well on the PS3

For me BF4 64 player multiplayer 60fps is enough for me to buy the console alone!

Next Year The Witcher 2. Destiny and The Order

Then on PS3 Dark Souls 2

okay pretty wrecked now so heading to bed managed to get the system fully setup despite some PSN connection issues and got my first trophy which was the minimum I wanted to get done before I turned off the thing. Happy enough with it and looking forward to tomorrow for a good run at it.

My PS4 games are starting to ship, did a couple of the Amazon buy 2 get 1 free deals, BF4 from the US is being shipped. The other two games expected in early to mid January and the three games from Germany in early December.
The PS4 killzone megabundle expected before the end of January, so will have games and no PS4 for a while :pac:

At least you earlier buyers will have all the bugs fixed for me

Just rang game stop in Wexford , I'm in the second wave which is fair enough but he said the second would would be in stock from the 2nd of December .

For some reason I don't believe the second batch would be that sound épecially if the first batch was launched on the 29th nov.
