Saw recently a E46 driving with blue CCFL angel eyes, I felt like I am high by looking at them, a color you dont' see every day on road , then I saw police pass them yet they didn't stop or say anything, are they legal or what's the story on these?

Of course they are not legal.

NCT will probably pull them up on it at next test.

Most just temporarily remove them for the NCT. Gardaí for the majority of time probably don't care unless they are stopping them for something else or at a checkpoint.

What's the problem with blue angel eyes? Mine are LED in a light blue tint and have gone through six NCTs now with no problem. Factory 5, 7 series and X5 angel eyes are whitish/blue from the factory.

    Against EU/NCT regulations apparently.

Anyway, don't encourage the OP, he's bad enough as it is, just do a search on his previous threads.

Define blue, in terms of kelvin colour temperature

NO idea of kelvin colour temp, but that glow in the dark almost punk blue is what I think of, like a bright turquoise?

Never seen it myself, my car is so low, normal headlights blind me, so I don't differentiate anymore :)

I'd say the OP is probably referring to those aftermarket HID kits fitted to cars with reflector headlamps that blind other road users.

This is what I am talking about. Also please stop derailing threads by saying "search his previous posts" I asked completely unrelated question.

Illegal alright. I had it for nearly two years, untill i ran into cop who was bored to hell... and enforced rules on the road once in a while....
Law is the law.Though I dont see any problem with it, its not like people were pulling out of my way if I was confusing them...
p.s I get blinded by these fancy running light on brand new cars.... wish I could ban them too...

I am okay with blue tint headlights in new cars as they are usually factory installed and are set up in a way that you don't even see a difference, but those blue angel eyes I saw made me think an UFO is floating on a road, probably the fact that it was dark and guy was driving only with those blue eyes on contributed to that feeling.
