Looking for funny rules suggestions (if any) for 12 pubs of xmas.... Yes I know some of you will say why rules but just ads to the banter had by using them...

So far off top my head :
    1. The left-handed pub - all drinks to be handled with the left hand only.
    2. The no swearing pub - no swearing.
    3. The fake accent pub - each participant to speak in a different accent for the duration.
    4. The swap shoes pub - swap one shoe with another participant.
    5. The no pointing pub - no pointing.
    6. The no resting pub - no sitting, leaning or resting your drink
    7. The no holding your pint pub - your drinking buddy has to feed you your pint!!
    8. The try and stay going pub - no rules, nearly there!!
    9. The final furlong pub - your there, relax and enjoy the night!

Any more funny one's that people could think of please?? Thanks in advance

The fancy cocktail pub? Where everyone has to drink a fancy cocktail?

For 3 successive years 2 of us from work would attempt this challenge, but I don't remember us ever completing it in terms of reaching pub#12, but we did make it to pub#9 once though so according to the op we did actually complete this challenge! :)

1 - shot of anything to get warmed up
2 - spirit of any kind, any form, with ice if wanted
3 - liquor, again in any form
4 - beer/lager - as someone who never liked either, this was always my 'don't look at the light' moment
5 - chose something for the other, pending bit**iness toward each other at this point determined how far more we would struggle on (knowing what each other did not like to drink)
6 - mixture of any 2 of the above
7 - no ice allowed from here: some whiskey
    8 - cocktail of choice
9 - anything we could manage/had any liking for

It was great fun at the time, I remember that & the photos helped us remember! Looking back now as someone who doesn't drink much/at all really, it's all a mystery how we both made into work the following day. Some scary stories about interactions with the public, but we always made it into work.

Different types of 12-nights out there.

One could always mix in some non-alco drinks in the pubs, to extend the night. Something we never done, but maybe we would have completed the 12-nights if we actually had :o

Ah to be young again! Nah! I think I am happier now than I was during those years.

Rules are good. Rules help regulate the fun.

Is the '12 pubs' the new Arthur's day, in terms of things people love to hate? I've never participated in either but people seem to have a pretty strong hatred of both, I'm not really sure why.

It encourages binge drinking. not responsible drinking

The Islamic Pub - Enter a local mosque and down a can in full view.

I'm sure it would go down well, not to mention the alcohol.

I love the 12 pubs but I don't get why people want all these stupid rules. A few of us do it every year on the same street, start around 1pm and just make our way along and have a great laugh always finish it, always with more than 12 pints drank by the end, we've never been turned away, never asked to leave or even got funny looks as we are not dressed stupidly or playing games.

It's something I really look forward to, roll on the 14th December :D

Carrying a sliced pan if you break a rule is gas!

There should be a 'yes/no game' pub. You cant say yes or no!

A group of us have been doing it the last few years and we usually put the names of all the pubs into an envelope and pull out the next one just before we leave the one we are in so that there is no rhyme or reason to where we go.

We do rules too and a lot of them have been mentioned already but some others are:

You have to end each sentence to the bar person with the word "guinness" so you would order a pint of Carlsberg Guinness or such.
Another was you are not allowed to touch your own drink and the person on your right hand side has to feed you it.
The talk in song lyrics rule is a toughy especially if you have been to a few pubs already.

Cant rem the other rules but it is a bit of a laugh. We used to do it as a group of Monaghan United fans and all wear Mons gear but with our demise last year we all had to wear christmassy jumpers but homemade if possible. So basically sew a load of crap Christmas decorations onto an old jumper.

Cant wait for this years one.

I'm chronically OCD when it comes to me beer. If there was a rule about some fella feeding me drink I'd vomit into the pint glass.

no loud laughing or banter pub, everyone must talk intelligently in conversations and no effing and blinding occasional swearing is ok but not out loud :D
