I've got a Sammy S3, but never liked it, sooo I think I'll ditch it for this, good project!!

If I had your HTC One, I'd not be changing either!!!

How much could I get for a year-old S3?? I could sell it with a Samsung HDMI/MHL unit, which works fine, and 16G SD card.....and an Otterbox Case!!!

I had the S3 too before I got the One. I got €230 for it but I've seen them go for €300+ but that was 2/3 months ago. At this point i'd say €250 would be doing pretty well for it, with the SD card maybe €15 more? Check Adverts for an idea of price.

The Z10 is intriguing though, would love to give it a try for a while. Might see if I can convince a friend to get one so I can play with it:)

    No it doesn't.

The Samsung Ativ S is a good bit cheaper than this phone, delivered from Amazon Germany, and its got very similar specs, and just as good, if not better phone in my opinion. Windows phone is a rapidly growing OS, where as WebOS is dead in the water.

So theres an option for people reading this thread.

Shouldn't that be BB10, as WebOs hasn't been around since the Palm/Hp days, although BB might have pinched a few tricks.

Android apps, which weren't really intended or available for Blackberry, can be installed via a process referred to as side loading.

    eg.

I had the qwerty Q10 version of this phone and side loading apps wasn't an issue. It's a nice (and underrated) operating system, blackberry hub is excellent and at that price it would blow any of the cheaper Android or Windows phones out of the water. I'm tempted to get one as a spare phone now.

Out of a curiosity, where you purchased q10? I'm looking for one at the.moment.

Regarding z10, do you gus use skype on bb?

But this phone doesn't run the now defunct WebOS. It runs BB10. Smaller screen but more ram.

From my operator. They don't carry much stock as there is little demand.

Does anyone already ordered z10 from Amazon? How long did it take to deliver?

Amazon themselves are usually 3-5 business days.

Delivered today, seems to be very impressive for that money. Thanks OP.

Well pheck it, I seem to have missed this bargain....

I was in hospital for 2 weeks, and now it's gone up to £224.99 with Amazon...

It is available still SIM free from Carphone Warehouse UK, £179.99 free delivery to their stores.

They have one in Enniskillen, but you need to have a UK Credit Card [one with a UK Billing Address]

I would be willing to head to Enniskillen to buy this, does anyone know any way around the Credit Card thing??

Do you have to pay online first?
Could you not just head up to Enniskillen and buy it there and then?

I really like the idea of the notification light and the music controls mapped to the volume keys. Is it still a good deal over something like the Moto G.

Not sure it would be in stock normally, by ordering on-line you can ensure delivery to the store you choose to pick up from.

There is no delivery to NI addresses, only to Mainland UK, so using Parcel Motel is out.

    Thanks anyway...

The phone is probably capable but the Moto G is cheaper and at the cutting edge in terms of relevancy and OS updates, this thing will never get more than an unofficial following, and Blackberry are on shaky ground. Won't clog up the thread with unrelated stuff though.

Brilliant phone, but I'm changing back to iOS as I can't get by without the apps I use a lot. Even side loading Android apps onto it, most didn't work. A pity because its a great phone to use, changeable battery, light and slim, hard to believe its so much bigger than an iPhone. BB should pay the developers that do Android and iOS to port their apps to BB, otherwise they will die.

For me it's way better phone than iphone, but I only use the phone, gps, multiple mail accounts (including gmail), calendar, gtalk, skype, viber and that's it. :)

You could be left with 4G personal hotspot in case BB would disappear, which is not desirable but also not so bad outcome.

I got one on a free upgrade from eMobile at the beginning of December and I love it. There aren't that many apps that I use so the fact that there aren't that many available doesn't bother me, the email works well on it, the browser works swell, the screen is sharp and clear, it's a fantastic music player (it even plays flac) and the battery life is great. I loved the BB 9900s I had before it, I hated the iPhone I had before those, and I love the Z10 now.

The next OS update (10.2.1) will allow the direct downloading and installation of Android apps. Also, the Android runtime will be updated to allow almost all Android apps to be run. There are leaks of the 10.2.1 OS available on CrackBerry. I have one loaded up and it's great. I have about a dozen Android apps on my Z10 now. Many did not work with earlier versions of the OS but every Android app I have tried to install works now. The 10.2.1 SDK Gold was released to developers yesterday so expect an full OS release in the near future.
