Hi anyone know the best way to paint or spray the vtec rocker cover , or who does a good job on them ? mine is gone flaky and the paint is flicking off?

Id say powder coating would be your best bet as opposed to painting. On the Busso engine, the powder coated covers look unreal.
Here is an example of one done on a gta engine. http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-gtv-and-916-spider/257023-v6-engine-powder-coating-chroming-or-polishing.html#post3865552

Its on my rather long list :( list of items to do.

Mighty car mods did it where they took off the cover. Masked the spark plug holes and the threads fro fitting it to the head. Cleaned/sanded it. Sprayed it red and then when the paint was dry they used a file to reveal the writing again in silver. Here is the video, I think it came out really well :) and best of all cheap :pac:

Get it powder coated. It will look awesome and you'll just want to open the bonnet and gawk at it all the time :).

    Hand painted:

    Power coated:

    Is good ya.

To be fair you would have to be a total mong to get such a bad finish by hand and do no prep work at all

Obviously powder coat will be a better finish and be much more durable but is it really worth the expense? To me it's not as I would be happy with the finish I can achieve but each to their own. Not everyone is as poor/cheap as me!
