    Hi all,
can anybody tell me where modern door intercom/bells get their power from?

mine has just stopped working. there doesnt appear to be any power to either the camera at the front door, the handsets upstairs or down?

i image there must be a transformer somewhere on a circuit but all breakers are good and i just cant see where the power to any of the units is sourced?

    anyone any ideas?

I haven't much experience with these, however, I had a problem with one before and the power for both the camera and the handset was in the apartment fuse box. It is a small transformer that looks like a large blank trip switch (if that makes sense).

I would advise unless its as simple as a tripped switch to leave the fuse box alone and call a pro. Those boxes have live rails in them and if you don't know what you are at it could be a disaster.

It could be on a din rail in the fuse board or even tucked in behind.
It could also have been hard-wired into a spur somewhere. You would need to start following the cables. As advised above get in a registered pro if you need the fuse board opened.
