    Morning all.

The wife's 3GS keeps dying at 50%. I've read that if you restore the phone as a new phone, it can reset the battery indicator. This would be ideal so as to save me swapping the battery again.
Anyways, if I were to restore as a new phone, is it possible to restore it again from a previous backup so as to not lose all her stuff?

I've always done it that way, anyway.

Yes. Just backup your phone before the restore. If you find it does nothing for you, you can then restore from the backup.
