They told me 5000!!! 1000 of which would be bundles. Only 13 mega bundles to the swords store though.

They confirmed that they will have offers in store on release day. But they've no idea what they are! Would indicate to me that they have no control over the orders.

Its not what they have said in store, via email, and on the phone. By your statement they had 200 per store and approx. 130 were bundles (of any sort) and 70 were solus. I was number 34 on the pre order list and was offered a bundle which was then withdrawn and I was given the solus with no other option given.

Unfortunately for me and probably many others, your logic doesn't hold. I wish it wasn't the case.

Really regret not going with Amazon and trying to support Irish - won't happen again.

Yeah it is strange, Gamestop have more bundles than solus consoles, same with Amazon and Harvey Norman, so it is weird that Symths are not the same way.

Don't get too upset with them just yet, from the start I said I would prefer a deal where i take a game of my choice rather than have killzone or watchdog forced on me (by Sony) neither of which i have much interest in. If Smyths offer a decent deal on the day I would still be happier to have gone with them.

I find that hard to believe. I was around 100 on the list in Fonthill alone back in July and have a release day console.

Not being a smart arse, just curious.

My cousin went into the one in Claremorris and was told they were only getting about 20 in and 5 of those were bundles, they expected to get a few more consoles here and there up to Christmas, but after that they did not know what the story was, they also told him the bigger stores were only getting 40-50 consoles in.

The main issue with Smyths seems to be that they were not given that many bundles, that is why people have posted here stating that Smyths have called them saying their bundles have been canceled, there is a worldwide shortage of the solus console now which is gonna affect how many they get and seeing that they have very few bundles by the looks of it, it is really going to affect them.

I would say anyone who has ordered should also have a back up with Amazon who seem to still have a few of the bundles left as they got shorted with the solus version as well.

If you are on about a online pre order, they said they would offer people discounted peripherals and games, but that was weeks ago and nothing has been mentioned since about it.

They said it after news broke about them not offering bundles to online pre orders and nothing has been heard of since so I would not have high hopes, a poster posted a email they got from the customer services and they basically told him he would not be offered anything.
