Has anyone got grant money lately?

    Whole lot a bit ridiculous

Applied in 2010 and got approval 12 months or more after that. Had to get further approval to relocate some of fencing as I could not wait to do some of it, lot or correspondence to sort that out

Finally did all work in 2012 sent in receipts etc lot of other sh1t over serial numbers had to be sorted out

Guy called out in Sept gone by to inspect work and no sign of payment yet, has anyone else got paid?

Applied for more hassle/grant for the second tranche in the summer too!

sent in application 3 weeks ago. Just want to buy a sheep race. Had to get the form signedby an advisor which was fkn. rediculous. Can understand some controls needed for the fencing biy but when all you want to do is buy a piece of approved equipment, it should be striaght forward. !

    Heard nothing back yet

Ye got it earlier this year, about 4/5 months after buying mobile unit. It is a load of c*** whats involved, as said needed to get application signed by an advisor for some reason then they checked the unit twice.
First guy rang I was at work and said yep its in the yard I'll get my father to meet you there no prob, rang back all perfect. Then 2 weeks later got another call, I said you've already checked it, no he was the 2nd check!! said to him its down the fields you may bring some wellies with ya as I'm at work. What a waste of our money!!!

the guy met my father as well as i was at work admitted it was a load of rubbish. he was told to bring tape and measure each length of fencing
few other thing that will make you laugh

    1. got letter to say i hadnt purchased a footbath as part of the mobile handling unit and couldnt approve it unit without one. Rang them up with gritted teeth and told them i already had two and why would i need to buy another one. said he would have to ring boss before he could make a decision...........
    2. Then an issue with serial numbers on unit, punched in different serial numbers for each part of unit as supplier hadnt got any. got letter to say all serial numbers need to be the same on all parts of the unit. had to change them again before they would come out
    3. issue with post certs

    a joke!

I'm chasing bits for fence posts for weeks now. And when I had it all in order, got a letter to say the first receipts I sent in we're not legible, and to get new ones...

It's for a fair amount, but if it wasn't for that much, I'd nearly leave it cos it's hardly worth the hassle :(

Applied jan 2012, approved in April 2012, did the job in may, used the FRS and they had the paperwork 110%, inspected in July and paid in September

Done quite a lot of fencing,

had a pre inspection and it was touch or go if we qualified as sheep is only one of 4 enterprises , also we were the first applicant in the county so the dept staff admitted they wern't fully aware of all the reg's ,anyhow qualified and got the go ahead ..my ag consultant done all the paper work

completed job over a period of time , drew the vat back and submitted

had 2 more inspections and got paid ,
