You think a dj played the same track twice?

It was on in your car. You walked into the shop which was playing the same staion. You got back in your car and it was still on the radio.

    First time is an accident
    Second time is coincidence
    Third time is enemy action.

I was chatting to a neighbour in a pub a few months back and we were talking the Ramones and it came up that Rock and Roll Radio was one of our favourite Ramones' songs. 2 or 3 days later I was driving along and saw him and gave him a wave. About 10 seconds later Rock and Roll Radio started on the radio.

Another day I was dropping a friend off at home and we were talking about music. It was something to do with the Cranberries and how they were ****e and how annoying that song Zombie is. No sooner had he gotten out of the car I turned on the radio and you can guess what song was on.

I'm beginning to think I have a magic radio.

When we were checking into the hotel on our honeymoon our first dance song was playing. It was a song from a while back too and I've never heard it played anywhere before or since!

That's kind of freaky alright. What was the name of the song if it's not too much of a personal question?

No, not too personal :) it was Faithfully by Journey so not really unusual but not something played all the time either

Was listening to a song on the way to work this morning, went into a shop and the exact same song was playing.

On the way out the same thing happened again.

Any strange coincidences for anyone else?

The OP didn't say he was in a car nor he was listening to the radio. My guess is, he was listening to his ipod.

If it was just the same radio station I don't think he would have started the thread. Would he?

40 years ago my parents met an American man called Alen who had a huge influence in their lives. He went back to the States and they moved and lost touch.

20 years ago I was living in London and out of the blue met Alen's son, David. Que Alen and my parents getting back in touch, happy reunion etc.

10 years ago my brother married a girl from America. Her family lived in the same state as Alen so my parents got in touch to say they'd come for a visit when they were in the States for the wedding. Anyway it turned out that Alen and my Sister in law's father used to work together 30 years ago in a totally different State.

Also my other brother met his wife in London and it turned out she grew up around the corner from my other American sister in law.

You know when sometimes a word pops into your head and you repeat it to yourself over and over (actually does everyone do that or am I just mental?)
Well about 2 years ago a word I didn't know the meaning of done just that, the word was ennui (pronounced on-we). I liked the sound of it but hadn't a clue what it meant. Anywho, it was the weekend so on Monday I went to work, opened my email and this nerdy word of the day email I get everyday - todays word ennui.
For those who give a shít it means "a feeling of utter weariness and discontent resulting from satiety or lack of interest" A fancy word for boredom really - maybe I was just bored. But still quite the coincidence I think!

me and a mate of mine were working together about 20 years ago, and most of our day was spent driving around the midlands of england in a cherry picker truck that had no radio. We had no music, no news, nothing. One day we were driving along in the rain when at the exact same time and for no apparent reason both shouted the line "And so is Michael Fish!" from the song "John Kettley is a Weatherman".

No explanation for it, neither of us had heard the song at all, and as it was a monday we'd barely even said a word to each other as we were hungover from the weekend.

Met a lad from school in the 90s during the summer. Hadn't seen him in 13 years. Then ran into him again a week later somewhere else.

You don't really believe in that shíte do you?
If there was any basis in that whatsoever, I wouldn't be trying to kill time in work, i'd be on my boat in the carribean surrounded by nymphomaniac supermodels.

Was in Zagreb for Ireland V Croatia game back in Sept / Oct 99 and met a gang of Croatian lads in a bar and agreed to play a 7 a side against them the next day. They turn up with a new lad called Antony Lekovic among them. Nice fella, get chatting and drinking etc.

Year later we're at the Holland V Ireland game in Amsterdam and pitch up to a bar on the Friday night..........and there's your man Anto playing pool in the same bar.

    True story.

A client of ours rings up yesterday looking for a particular product that he needs to supply to Arcelor a big steel producer. In the 'best joke you've ever heard' thread the post no 5438 which I have just read this morning is about...yes you've guessed it...Arcelor.
