Have been advised by Amazon UK that if you ordered a solus console after 7th August, they have to wait for supply confirmation from Sony but if you ordered a bundle in, say, end of October, many (today) have been guaranteed launch day consoles as they've lots of stock. Is this a case of not as many people opting for the bundle over the solus or Amazon are being offered more bundles than solus stock from Sony or am I to take it Amazon are trying to jump in to make extra cash?

Harvey Norman seem to be doing the same thing, doubt people are not opting for the bundle as it is great value, it looks like they are looking for extra profit, but Amazon usually do not use such practices.

Was onto them today as it's the day that the bundles orders were meant to be updated by and apparently they're a little behind so if you've not got the order updated today it might be another 24-48 hours that or they're giving me some false hope.

The bundles were meant to be chosen by the 23th of October and then the order were to be updated by today.

The Amazon order is my second order but I rather get it and pay a bit more than give Gamestop anything.

Yes, so Amazon were saying, it's not their practice. But they would say that. I didn't go for a bundle as left it too late (did want Watchdogs but that's out) but as you also mention HN, have a pre-order with them too where I did take a bundle, think I've got it ar5eways!

Just checked with Amazon about updating an order to a bundle and they said that people who ordered late i.e. end of October will not be offered a survey (option to select a bundle) but will be e-mailed to advise when the bundles go live onsite so they can choose to place a new order if they wish.
They did not have a date when this will happen but to keep checking the website.
So it seems all of the bundles haven't been taken up and the remainder will be available to preorder soon.

Not going anywhere near Gamestop for the midnight launch.

I'll be perfectly happy to pick it up in safe, broad daylight the following morning and probably way less of a frenzy.

You'd need your head looked at to be queuing for something so coveted at midnight imo.

It says your location is Columbia?

Best of luck with that :pac:

I'm definitely queuing at midnight sure. Not only do I want to be playing it all night, I wouldn't trust Gamestop to hold it.

They will hold it for you. The GTAV launch left me without the game for several days. Gamestop wouldn't sell me a copy, because I hadn't pre-ordered. I was looking at the pile of copies that hadn't been collected 3 DAYS LATER

The bundle choice ended on the October 23, you had to have it in by then but they were offering people the bundles late up to that point.

I haven't pre-ordered the ps4 anywhere yet. What are my chances of having it before Christmas? And where would be the best place to order it this late to have it asap?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,157 ✭✭✭Markitron

I preordered 2 in Gamestop Henry St at the very start of June and both have around 300 paid off them, they called me 2 weeks ago asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a bundle so I changed 1 to the Killzone bundle (mega bundle was sold out). Im just assuming mine is OK for launch, anyone know if they are doing that midnight ticket system thing?

Amazon.co.uk and you should get it before xmas according to the product page or Argos if you want to queue on launch day for it.

The pre-order bundles are for collect at the midnight launch / launch day. No idea about the ticketing system

So my Amazon order hasn't updated yet but apparently they've told be that's fine as it could be another 24-48 hours.

Is anyone else's order continually changing from "pre-ordered" to "not yet dispatched"

Varik, when did you place your pre-order with Amazon? Pre-7 August? Obviously you ordered a bundle as they're not updating those who pre-ordered solus.

My Amazon pre-order hasn't changed from "DELIVERY ESTIMATE: WE NEED A LITTLE MORE TIME TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A GOOD ESTIMATE. WE'LL NOTIFY YOU VIA E-MAIL AS SOON AS WE HAVE AN ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE." since 24 August (solus pre-order).

I was told instore yesterday that all bundles are for launch day, I guess you should ring to confirm yourself about the second one etc...

It's the PS4 on it's own, rather than being part of a bundle

Same price, about €5, well it was a few months back when I got WK:C and Dragons Crown from them.
