True, could also be a few disappointed people in lots of shops by the looks of how their staff are telling one person one thing and someone else another. Time will tell.

They always advertise stuff on the tv but when you go the shop it's either a higher price or they never had it in stock

Reckon you'd need to be waiting outside HN when they open on launch day. Feels like they'll operate on a first come first served basis with regards to pre-orders.

I heard yesterday from a friend that works in Brown Thomas that they are getting in 1000 launch day consoles. Seems a bit high to me but they're stocking them for first come first serve.

Theres probably a catch. You'll have to buy a 2 grand handbag before being given the option to buy a PS4 :P

Would be a bit strange seeing that store only sells clothes, jewelry and kitchen stuff :pac:

Well I know another store are selling Cod ghosts for half price on Tuesday to get people into the store. Not sure if I'm meant to say anything yet so I won't mention the store just incase it hampers me getting one :-)

Brown Thomas stopped selling home entertainment stuff about 5 years ago, do you think it is a little strange all of a sudden they are selling PS4's now when all they sell are clothes now.

I know mate only going by what a mate has told me worth a try if anyone is stuck for one on launch day. Also it's Supervalu that's doing Call of duty for €30 only 30 copies in some stores.

CoD is supposed to have been delayed till the 15th which is a Friday, it was denied, but a lot of stores have pushed the release date back, so they will probably get it on the 18th and ship it on the 19th. Do not worry with them though, they are a great company and I have never had a issue with them.

i just got a reply from their FB page. they said cod ghosts on ps4 WILL be shipped on november 5th. so i dont know whats the deal now lol. hopefully the delay didnt happen or something

Would you happen to know which stores? If you figure it

    30 for PS3 version
15 to upgrade to PS4 version

Cheaper than buying it straight out.

It will probably be most Supervalues, it is not the first time they have done this with CoD.

why is everyone trolling the gut on adverts? i see nothing wrong with someone wanting to make a profit on something thats like gold dust to anyone who didnt preorder in time..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 733 ✭✭✭Ronan

Pretty sure adverts have a policy about profiteering, do expect this will be removed.

i know its frowned upon but someone who is desperate for a ps4 who didnt preorder it would probably pay it. we all would sell our launch day ps4s for the right price :P

    Don't you.

I think it's a scumbag move and ticket touts get ripped out of it for the exact same thing so why not ps4 touts?
