Ballyea 1-03 newmarket 0-6 at half time, scrappy enough game with Newmarket doing most of the hurling for the first 30.

Newmarket played like knackers. No idea how they managed to keep 15 players for so long.Referee was shocking.

Ah now, sour grapes will get you no where. By the way how do knackers play hurling? You are obviously an expert on the subject.

Did you see the game? Who's yer man that got sent off at the end? He chopped down on Kellys head when he was on the ground at the end of the game and only got a second yellow,if thats not a straight red i don't know what is.He should be suspended for 3 months.

Pure filthy tactics all day.Don't know how there wasn't more men sent off.I know theres alot of Newmarket lads that agree.

White gate v Youghal 0-18 a piece after extra time!

Cratloe lead Eire Og by 3 at the moment

As I say sour grapes, comparing them to 'knackers' proves that. But then it's sheer bravery using language like that anonymously over the internet, would you be as brave to call them that to their faces I wonder? Newmarket were the better team by far and fully deserved their win. Get over it

I wouldn't class it as sheer bravery now to be fair.I heard plenty of Neutrals and Ballyea fans call them knackers during the game,Especially that number 17.

I got there for the second half of ordinary time and it was a great game. Youghal backs never looked like letting Whitegate in for a goal. Credit to Whitegate though.

Newmarket were the better team in the senior. Ya they got some handy frees but overall they deserved the win. It will be some final next week!

Yurt must have been at a different game. C'mon the Blues

The bridge could win a championship next week with no players starting for Clare and only one in the panel I think. Be some achievement.

Both sides have only a single player each involved in the senior squad. Colin Ryan and Seadna Morey.

    cratloe 2-08 Eire Og 0-09

Newmarket are county champions and may be again next week but have only one player on the Clare team. Go figure

In a way it makes sense. They can train all year and Ryan coming in will only make them better. Other teams have 5 and 6 players missing and it's not easy to gel

newmarket look like a very solid side, very strong at the back and a well drilled side, it will take a lot to beat them, a lot of these guys might not be up to intercounty level but as a unit they work very well together, intercounty dose'nt come into it at this stage of the year

a special word for whitegate though today, they went into extra time and were unlucky not to win this after playing the county final yesterday replay next week.

looks like the football winners will have to do the same in two weeks time....the only stumbling block is they will have to travel to waterford the day after the county final, i would fancy cratloe's chances against any team left in munster should they win the county final, but i doubt any one's chances against these odds!!

infairness once newmarket got a bit of daylight today they did turn to dirty tactics to delay and slow the game , This coming from a neutral supporter, pity considering how good they can be

There is a huge difference in slowing the game and hurling like knackers as Yurt described their play. It's a county semi final after all, they made sure they won it and are through to the final next week. Job done

From a county perspective, better have a team like Newmarket involved if there was a run at Munster rather than a Clonlara, at least now clubs which are providing a few county players get a break/rest from it all.
Although Cratloe in the football means their county contingent will be on the go pretty much all year round

You sound like a "neutral" yourself .
Did you or any of the other "neutrals" see the disgraceful late challenge attempt at taking the Newmarket centre-back out of the game in the early stages, Colin Ryan being kicked as he lay on the ground after a heavy collision with two players, the Newmarket full-forward being struck in the face, all these were seen by officials and were straight reds by the book - none followed.
The Ballyea no.10 was on a yellow when he chopped on a Newmarket midfielders hand, the ref looked as if he was going to issue another card until he checked and saw that to do so would mean sending him off, he then copped out of doing it.
Coming on a site like this and repeatedly calling fells what you're calling them is way out of order, take off your blinkers.
