Saw a couple of things that people might be interested in Tesco Carlow. No idea if these are nationwide or just a once off. Both seem to be cheaper than on Amazon.

Black and Decker AV1205 Car Vacuum Cleaner - €19.50
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Decker-1205-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B000GPPNHE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383063242&sr=8-1&keywords=black+and+decker+av1205

    Sony ICF-C1IPMK2 iPod Dock iPod Dock/Alarm Clock - €42

Lego City Set 6003 Fire Emergency €8.50 in Tesco Nutgrove. Be careful a lot of 6013 sets just above SEL but about three sets on top of unit. Might be in other stores also. They had Monster high Scaris Skelita Calaveras dolls for €5.50 also.
This is the lego €29.99 in Smiths

and the doll is £20 on amazon

Speaking of watching out in Tesco, my local one had Matua Sauvignon Blanc advertised on special (yellow stickered) for €10 the other day. It's always €7.99 in Aldi.

I like me some NZ wine so buy it every so often there. It's just ok but a lot more affordable than the wines I really like!

I've tried two Aldi's for this Matua brand and they didn't have it, are you sure it's the exact same one?

It's only the Scaris range that's reduced to €5.50 - Maynooth only have 13 Wishes / Festival range left.

Thanks for saving me a trip to Naas

    €2 each for Chocablock ice-cream 500ml.
Should be available in all Tesco stores.
    Billionaires Shortcake & Chocolate Extremist
    Valid until 1st December.
    It's not a premium brand - it's a Tesco brand, but they're tasty.
Perfect for the impending November heat wave.

Just a bargain and a warning, today in Tesco Douglas i saw they moved the advent calendars, its the cadbury one that cause issue,

the 90g ones (where all the chocolates are the same size) are on offer for €2,

BUT on the exact same shelf (with no other price label) are the more expensive ones (where the chocolates get bigger coming up to christmas)

i wish i had my phone to take a photo but the expensive ones were over the €2 SEL (which was the only price label on that whole shelf) and scanning at full price. Its deliberate misleading by Tesco, and it won't work for Double the difference as its clearly labeled the 90g ones.

Would still get the store in trouble if someone complained

    Price display in retail outlets
The purpose of the EC (Requirements to Indicate Product Prices) Regulations 2002 is to enable consumer to see the price of the product before buying and to make price comparisons. The price of products on sale in shops and supermarkets may be attached to the items themselves. Alternatively they may be displayed on a label on the edge of the shelf. Generally, shelf labels are used to display prices in supermarkets since barcodes have becomes more popular. Under the EC (Requirements to Indicate Product Prices) Regulations 2002, retailers must show the correct selling price in euro including taxes. Unit prices for products sold by weight volume or measure must also be clearly displayed. More detailed information on pricing of goods and services is available here. The Regulations provide for certain exemptions from unit pricing such as items which are equal or less than 50 ml or 50 grams. The Regulations also extend to online shopping. Services are not covered by the Product Pricing Regulations.

If it was the only price displayed on the shelf then the customer would expect it to be right. Really not on.

Not the 1st time they have done it.
The reason I was given was "not enough room of the shelf".

No sign of the iTunes card offer in Tesco Wexford today. I first checked in the Gift Card stand but went around where the DVDs etc. are and at the electronics service desk as sometimes they are there if there's a special offer on them.
There was great activity by staff filling shelves, moving things around and the like so maybe they haven't gotten around to it yet and they will be available in the next day or so.

Not sure what you're confused about, I am just letting people know there was no sign of the offer yet in the Wexford Tesco. If anyone saw or knows different I'm sure they will post here.

I asked a member of staff who knew nothing about it, as I said they were busy with a major operation of bringing out new stock, stacking shelves and moving stuff... but no I didn't try to buy them given there was no sign of the offer in the store and staff didn't know about it.

I got the iTunes voucher offer today (Athlone). They had a sign on the stand where all the gift vouchers are but the sign is designed not to stand out! They scanned in fine and €10 deducted from bottom of receipt. Bro's birthday pressie is sorted! :-D

The itunes offer was advertised in the Metro newspaper yesterday and it is also on page 8 of the weekly Tesco specials leaflet. Offer is valid until 10th November subject to availability.

No mention of it in Jervis St, Dublin 1 but the girl on the checkout confirmed and the discount was applied then. Went back later and got a second batch and again the discount was applied without asking at the checkout.
