Wow its not nearly €1300 anymore, but seeing it is Zavvi you would not get it for about 2 weeks after launch, they are useless delivering over here from past experiences, some stuff comes quick some has taken a month.

Edit - They will not actually ship to Ireland

Nope the console is reserved for 48 hours, I have checked and double checked and triple checked with them.

but just one mis-count and then the last person to turn up all of a sudden "OOPS".....

Nah, i am sure that wont happen but until I have it in my possession these kind of things would go through my mind. I would just rather be there when the store opens.

Lucky enough my local is right beside the store, so hopefully have the ticket stamped and stumble in when they open, mine is gonna be put aside anyway for me.

How does this stamp/ticket system work, if you show up at like 8pm you get a ticket then come back at midnight and are first in line to collect ?

Yep: that's how they did it for GTA

Killzone won't be good; get BF4

Yes 1080p 60fps is simply not good enough for online play http://www.gamersyde.com/news_pgw_killzone_multiplayer-14785_en.html

And a campaign that isn't only 4 hours long? Gooby plz. http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_killzone_shadow_fall_pgw_singleplayer_gameplay_no_sound_-31077_en.html

It is not set in stone, but if they do have midnight releases this is how it will probably pan out he reckons. The store gets lets say 60 consoles in they will call those 60 people and get them to pay before the 29th and get a ticket for the midnight launch, they will not let anyone in the stores unless they have one. If you are one of the 60 and do not want it on midnight, they will hold it for you for 48 hours, if not collected in that time, the 61st person on the list will be called and will have 48 hours to pay for it and get it and so on and so forth.

    Couldn't you use parcel motel?

Ok here's another Zavvi link When signing up you must use refer code ZV16870409 or ZV13708842 for the discount
This was just posted over on the PS community and states it's for a day one console. For the people that need one.

I've never used them and don't intend to,but I thought I'd post it here for people who are in need. Not sure how long the codes will last. But shop at your own risk;)
You will need to use Parcel Motel.

I would say it would work yes, but Zavvi are still very erratic with shipping.

Sony just put up a FAQ on their blog and they said that the price of Killzone: Shadow Fall will be €69.99 on Blu-ray and download. €70 is crazy. That would be the cost of a special edition of a game on PS3 :L I could have sworn that Sony said months ago that first-party titles will have the same prices as they did on PS3. What's up with that?

I think there prices were in dollars, so more like €60

Well as it is GTA5, BF4 and The Last of Us were and are all €69.99 for the digital versions on PSN right now.

PS3 games cost that much at launch too for a few months then dropped. Amazon is the place to buy games, just wait a few weeks. I got the new Splinter Cell and Bioshock for €25 each. If people refuse to pay €69.99 and hold off they will be forced to drop the prices back down.

True, and I'd imagine they will drop very shortly, most likely after the christmas period. wowhd.ie are selling PS4 games for cheap. Killzone is €62 and Battlefield 4 is going for only €50. Free shipping too :) Will definitely consider buying games off there and might check HMV too!

I've ordered direct from Sony, anyone else order from them too? No contact regarding a bundle. Wondering if anyone else heard from them.

That's just the recommended retail price, no decent retailer (amazon, hmv) charges that....well unless your argos, I saw killzone and knack for €78.99 each in their catalog LOL

    Based on what?

Hold it for 48 hours for the guy who ordered it back in June and has paid for it in full. If for some reason he doesn't collect, the next guy on the list gets it.

    What's so tough about that?

Very tempted by this, thanks for the link!

Edit: Just noticed it says out of stock, ah well!

I hate when people say that. Everyone always says Call of duty has a 5 hour campaign or whatever, but it always takes me much longer. You get what you want out of a game.

Do Shopto pre-order for games arrive on the day they come out when delivering to Ireland? I know play-asia and that american site are cheaper but I don't want to chance them in case they arrive a few days late etc

So true, if you play it on easy and just blast through it, but on higher difficulties these games are never as short as stated.

I did the exact same thing. My other half is away the week the PS4 releases so i couldnt miss this oppurtunity for uninterrupted gaming haha.

My delivery date says the friday or saturday but do amazon even deliver on saturday in ireland? Fingers crossed its the friday either way

Amazon confirmed to me that they do ship the PS4 from the other Amazon regions in Europe.
Getting mine from France. I said I had ordered the PS4 bundle, didn't specify the bundle I had ordered. They replied you can get the PS4 from Amazon France to Ireland.
Though they said couldn't see the bundle package, so got back to them on that, they still have bundle packages up on their website but says no delivery till next January.

I wonder that too. Whenever I choose express delivery from them it's been UPS but I'm not sure if they do Saturday delivery.

I had the two day delivery originally, however I'm worried it might get delay by a day or two, so I changed my delivery to Parcel Motel.

I've selected Expediated delivery, 1 Business day, for £4.99.
    Parcel motel charge is €3.50.

So getting it delivered for about 11 euro.

It was 30 Euro for 2-3 day delivery direct from Amzon.

From all the feed back Parcel Motel has gotten, I'm happy to go this route, plus I'll prob add on a bit of insurance from PM. €500 cover for 14days, an extra €3.50.

So overall I prob saved a about 20 euro, and I'm getting it 1 Business day, hopefully Amazon release the console early.

Also PM deliver on Saturday, so worst case scenario, it arrives in Belfast on Friday, and my PM Saturday.
