    Sharp eyes you have ;)

    It is indeed a Tempra, 1.6 on lpg. Here since 1999. Used as a taxi and I learned to drive in it when I was 12. 196k miles, never failed to start, never a minutes bother. They don't make them like they used to :cool:

    It's been off the road since 2005. It's sitting there this past 2 years, was in the garden before that. Needs a lot of tlc at this stage but we'll get round to it :)

    Here it is in better days :D

    I had a 1.9TD version of the Tempra, 1995 it was. Loved it, very comfortable car to drive

    If only you had the skills and the know how to put the V8 into the E34:(

    Oh wait :pac::pac:

    There's no problem getting a V8 in the E34.

    The 540i E34 Sport 6-speed where an epic car. I'd love one at some point. Has to be a Touring though.

    In the meanwhile, I'll just settle for the other 2 V8's here.

    /M

    Nice Tempra I seen an SW model near Beaumont hosp recently always parked up in someones driveway..

    I still get flashbacks to the Gardai righting off a Tempra chasing a joyriider in Darndale one day early 90s Id say..30yrds from me..IIRC the Gardai tried unsuccessfully to fit between 2 heavy fat concrete bollards which the joyriders had slipped through in a narrower car:(....ended up with bits of Tempra all over the road:o

    No, what I mean is that both the Subaru and Toyota are turbos. That's what Cian meant when he said twin turbo ;)

    Jesus, that looks like a lovely example. Packing a real punch too with iirc 70 hp. I had another 5 myself, only t'was a diesel van.

    I cried for about a week after I sold it.

    It was my granny's car. It sat in her driveway for a year after she had to stop driving due to her eyesight. She gave it to me and I resprayed the black plastic parts, got a new front bumper, sprayed it, second hand mirrors, sprayed them, new tyres, new windscreen, full interior valet, did a full decontamination and enhancement on the paint, full service including gearbox oil, NCT'd it and sold it for a healthy profit :)

    When it left our house in 2010, it had 19,000 miles on it :eek:

    I loved it though, super little car to drive and went like an absolute rocket! Sadly, the current owner (friend of mine) hasn't looked after it at all and it's in a state again. I'm sorry I sold it at all, let alone to someone who wasn't going to look after it.

    I think I have better pictures at home, I'll upload them later on if I remember!
