    Hi everyone,

I had an interview with a popular health store over a week ago. Since the interview I haven't heard any word back. My question is, because of the amount of time that has passed is it likely that I am not successful? How long usually would you be waiting to hear back from an interview? My understanding is that if a company wants you they will get you asap but hopefully I'm wrong :\ Thanks!

I'd call them or drop an email just asking for an update.

Did you ask when you could be expecting to hear back from them?

I did think of that but I didn't want to be a pest or show that I'm impatient but I definitely will consider it.

Yes and the reply was "a few days because of other interviews". In my mind if I said a few days I'd mean 2-4 days but peoples definition of that may vary.

I'd normally give them a few days after they said they'd get back to you. So if you were expecting something by the end of this week maybe give them a gently prod by tuesday or so.

It's hard to find a balance between making sure they haven't forgotten about you, and letting them know you're keen and being a PITA that keeps ringing.

Hope you hear back some good news soon.

I have found that if the company wants you they'll be quick. I had an interview and was told I got the job 5 hours later when they had finished the interviews but they were doing all the interviews in 1 day. The companies that I had to wait for tended not to give me the job.

Still possible you got the job if they are spacing out interviews, I have very limited experience in successful interviews and the company mentioned above wasn't one to waste time. If its been over a week and they said they would be back to you it's worth an email or calling into the shop.
