I grind up willow bark and meadow sweet to make my own paracetamol. My quinine isn't perfected yet but working on it. Various moulds in the cupboard are functioning well as antibiotics but yet to find a reliable rheumatism drug that can be made at home - trying various combinations of pain relief and fish oil remedies but only in liquid form so far.
Yes, homemade drug making is a thriving craft/pastime in Ireland. ICA classes are available in almost evert parish in the country.

It's possible to make many drugs based on over the counter medications. But as long as it's easy to buy the popular drugs like heroin and crack the alternatives won't make big inroads in Ireland. The only reason drugs like meth or any of the other new drugs gain any foothold is because the main staples are hard to get.
