I didn't know that there was any courses done entirely in e block. We definitely need to have a Bolton street meet. We might even invite dgt!

Sure it's be rude not to!

    Shall we?

Also stheno, I'd try help but I'm hopeless with interview tips and stuff :(

To get away from the student squabbling, I had a final interview today for a job I'm fierce keen on, so any good thoughts to influence the interviewers would be appreciated.

Might mean I'd be on the hunt for a new car, and we all know how much fun it is trying to change diehard minds when they want a new car :D

Sounds cliche but just be yourself. They're gonna hire the person you are in the interview, if you're not yourself in the interview and get the job, it puts an awful lot of pressure on you to maintain the facade.

My old boss used to say "people buy people"

Edit, just seen you already did the interview. Never mind the above, its probably the Calpol talking,

Hurrah for free interview stuff :D

    Thank ya :D

I had the final interview today and was myself, and do you know, it made a massive difference in my opinion to how it went. I think it went really well, got the impression I was fitting the bill etc. We'd a few humorous moments in the interview and it just felt like it went well.

There were three people shortlisted so I've a one in three chance, I was the last interviewed.

If I get a call telling me I've gotten the job it will take me a week to come down from the high :D

Jays no hassle, after nearly twenty years in the working world, if I can help anyone out I will. Don't be afraid to ping me if you are going for an interview, I've interviewed hundreds of people over the years, and reviewed literally thousands of c.vs so take advantage by all means!

Even did it for my OHs son last year :)

Made a big difference what you said Colm, I was just myself.

Like you said people hire people, and as a candidate I ask myself if I can work with these people.

Today I just felt like I'd enjoy working with them.

Well thanks all the same :) I'll rememeber that for future reference, i'd go look for a job now, but as stupid and slacky as it sounds, I actually don't have the time, I'm in college from 7:30 in the morning till 9:30 at night, other people can't understand why my course has so many hours, it's nuts, but it'l be worth it in the end

They are becoming such a rarity now. Why would you want to track that? it should be restored and preserved for future generations. :)

It cant be put on the road

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,729 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Weld the diff as you've a great drifter, if I had a job right now I'd be seriously tempted.

    What's wrong with it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,088 ✭✭✭sean1141

Its well able to go sideways as it is!! Think there is a factory fitted lsd in them?
Nothing mechanically wrong to stop it being put on the road its due to paperwork

Fully locking? Nice bit of kit!
Damn, really wish I had money now. :(

Not 100% sure but I'm sure some of the bmw heads here would know more. What is it worth as it stands?

Road going 325's are getting greT money these days, €3k-€6k depending on the car. Shame about the paperwork.

    I'd guess around €1500?

Was driving behind a group of cyclists today and i had a lovely view :D Did feel bad when a lorry hit a puddle and drowned a few of them. Car is driving fine again so I don't know what happened last week.

I'd say you drove through an oil/diesel spill. (seeing as there was nothing wrong with the car)
    Good that its ok again!

    Great results Chris :)

Happy to hear she passed, although you snook through the front alignment :)

Be careful out there lads, loads of surface water on the M1, M50, M2 and M4 this afternoon.

Was heading to Enfield earlier and got caught in torrential rain for a few minutes, visibility down to nothing, the amount of cars that pulled in was unreal.

Got a complete set of new wheel nuts for my car :)

I still think I was very lucky, maybe the testers were happy to see a car a bit different. But certain items on my car are down as N/A on the sheet and lets just say the tyre that failed was the only E marked tyre on the car.;)

I got caught in it just outside portarlington, my hangover didn't help it much either;)

I remember when I worked in the garage when I was younger I'd be bringing in cars every week, new the lads by name etc and I told them that this was my own car one day. Strangely the handbrake test was done three times on my car, then my car was driven out and another driven in and the handbrake test was done once, then it was driven out and my car completed its test and passed
