Tried to date a ginger girl in my younger days in order to try and find out did the rug match the curtains. My eagarness to find the answer became a bit too overpowering to the point I frightened her off :( Didn't have tinternet back then to satisfy my curiosity.

I have since found out that it is not always the case however I blame hair dyes for that problem.

Ah the old collar and cuffs combo, so beloved of the purist such as my self - which is really odd cos I prefer it shaved off anyway - It's just nice to know it would match!:D

I didn't see the show, but I like this thread. If someone likes freckles too, I will give big smiles all round today.

My first big love was pale skinned, freckled, gorgeous red curly hair and green eyes.

    sigh.....

so yes....freckles definitely can be extremely sexy
    (well...to me anyway)

I think the presenter is from kerry... high five! Only saw the first 5 minutes of the programme but there's some stunning looking red heads out there. 99.9% of them have no need or desire for fake tan, fake eyelashes, caked in make up etc etc and all that crap. natural is the way to go and gingers rule in this regard!!!

Tend to be rather enthusiastic when it comes to engaging in the carnal arts as well.

A long-held belief - I'm sure 90% of the people on AH have read Ulysses, where (in chapter 1, mind) you will find Buck Mulligan declaiming:

    "Red-headed women buck like goats!"

Some yes, but not a face full of cornflakes :pac:

Saw the show. Decent enough. Loved the fact they brought up the South Park episode.

No real view on gingers bar the fact ginger pubes are utterly comical and tragic in every sense.

Plus Ginger women definitely have the Rock chick thing in common.

You see a rock chick, she is either a 10 or a zero. There is no inbetween. Redtops are the same they are either a stubby ginge with a face like a foot or they are a beautiful, mystical fire headed siren.

As a child I hated being a red head, I suffered terriby bullying because if it.. What makes it worse is that adults won't hold back on it (to a child) either.

It wasn't so bad in my early teens when I started to learn that girls liked my red locks.. I'm 47 now and have some grey, I'm starting to dread the day I'm not considered a red head any longer, I love being red.

My pubes are pure fiery red :)

Life as a red head can be a cruel and tormented one. I do not miss school.

hmmm....can't say I agree at all.

Somewhat different emotions get stirred in me but I'm trying to work so I'll not expand on the thoughts.

From experience they are the rule not the exception. Growing up in this country with red hair was absolutely miserable at times with all the nasty and hateful remarks people would make.

Funnily enough when I lived abroad it was the exact opposite, I was so taken aback when people admired my hair colour I didn't know what to say at first.

I could never understand this when I was younger. Im not red headed (my beard and my pubes are another story but neither were all that prominent in primary school) but the abuse red heads used to get in our school was mad. I always though they were just preposterously hot. Obviously not all of them but I always thought a good looking red head has something that puts them above a good looking girl of any other hair colour. Except green. Green hair makes me wet

There's probably a cream you can get for that:D

My wife dislikes the Ginger reference intensely, although I would perceive it as a gentle tease at worst. However not to want to upset her, I have settled on "Are we off to bed then Bosco?" or "Oi, Mick Hucknall, your Mam is on the phone!"

Despite her four decades experience on this earth, her siblings favourite handle for her is Orphan Annie

I used have a head of carrot coloured hair.

    Now it's mostly grey.

I LIKED my red hair!

Funnily enough, i never got too much slagging over it.

The only time i ever felt weird about it was when i visited my brother in Hong Kong, wherever i went i was getting a lot of attention from the non ex pat locals.

I think red hair tends to grey faster - have a lot of grey streaks myself :(

Brown hair, ginger beard. Beard greyed a lot quicker than hair :pac:

Weird. If I let my beard grow its red! only a little patch of grey over a scar but otherwise it's pure red!!

Some shades of red don't go grey, they go blonde. Mine is getting lighter every year. Soon I shall be able to pass for a 'normie'

I find this 'ginger bashing' to be hysterical. If you changed the word 'ginger' to 'traveller' the moderators around here would be losing their minds.

Didn't notice much ginger bashing in this thread, more along the lines of ginger banging....

...........................Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you

    Imagine being a ginger traveller.

I was in China one time with a red head English girl. We'd be eating at outdoor restaurants and groups of locals would stop en masse and stare at her. Some even took pictures.

Did she have any hair? or just a red head:pac:

Apologies in advance if this joke already cracked.....

She's pretty as well but I thought Ms Chastain would have had a few more fans herself. Red hair seems to suit women better for some reason.

    N.B

    RE REDHEADS

    NEVER CROSS A REDHEAD
CAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN INSTEAD
    YOU'LL FEEL THE BOOT
IF YOU STEP ON THEIR FOOT
SO GET THAT INTO YOUR HEAD
