    Other than that, looks ok.
See when the belt is due. See if there is a knoking or vibration from the cluch.
The DMf is a big job.

Thought that was good myself. Might have a look at it. Looking for something to go for a year or two

Thanks Colm, it's got a new NCT so can't be too bad but will probably give it a miss

The fact that he's a multiple identity scrap dealer pretending to be a private seller would make me run a mile

I have bought cheap cars off dealers with fresh NCT that i could almost guarantee wouldnt have passed if a regular joe brought it in.

Would not be suprised if this fella is trading the way he is, he could have a very cushy relationship with his local NCT centre

Went to look at a car in a dealers once, the nct report had exactly the same mileage as what was on the clock:rolleyes:

I've just had an incredible urge to go out and buy a small car with an NCT of some description for less than €400.

    Am I mad?

    NCT November 2014

Car NCTd early is usually a good sign imho. Seller cares for his car and / or means business selling it

You're mad. That really is the banger only end of bangernomics. If you must buy a small 1l car, spend about €600-€700 and get something decent like a well looked after Seicento

Or are you looking at a a size up from that? Then please ignore my comments :)

I don't know. I had a huge urge to go out and buy an old small car to drive now for a few weeks and then to just hold onto for messing about with.

They can come up the odd time though. Just a few weeks ago my mate bought a 94 white Metro with tax and test until next year for €480. A white one.

That would have fitted the bill perfectly.

Get a 106. Some good examples can be got very cheap and they are not too bad to drive despite their pedals nearly being married to one and other.

My point exactly. No offense, Kaiser, but that's not much of a bargain in my book. Hateful yoke. The car that broke Britain's indigenous mass manufacturing motor industry. It's a death trap too. Honestly for only a few hundred more you can have yourself something much newer, safer, more modern and nicer. With leccy windows :D

    I'd suggest a Clio.

Friend got one with the same sort of thinking in mind, usually drives a Caddy.

The €225 odd motor tax on this one sweetens the deal on this one.

Wont stir much excitement among the purists among us but for what they are they are a decent car...bread and butter, low cost, low hassle motoring. Looks pretty clean in fairness
