Sicily for a week - best sights?

    A week in a beach villa Oct 28th to Nov 4th based just outside Palermo. Besides Mount Etna, what would be on your list of best things to see & do? We will be hiring a car.

    I stayed near Segesta.
    Apparently they do dawn shows in the amphitheatre during the summer. I was there out of season for them which was disappointing. It's an amazing place and the views are wonderful.

    Get over to Taormina if you have a chance. Well worth the trip and spectacular views.

    Valley of the Temples at Agrigento and the hilltop town of Erice are the two best places to visit on the whole island outside of Etna, imo. Taormina is lovely but overhyped.

    I loved Cefalu - simple cobblestone streets and some beautiful restaurants.
