Just picked one up from Argos in Castlebar. Was on their system with the newer price but lady there had no issue with giving me the tele at 488. Bonus of a €10 voucher. Just set it up and it looks fantastic (replaced a 21" tub tele so obvious big difference).

Thanks OP and to @homewardbound11 for the code

Nope. I think Samsung are the only brand that have RTE Player on their Smart setup.

Opened tv tonight. Only issues I have is the lack of rte app and the opera web browser cant play anything via flash e.g. rte xl. There is an opera tv store where you can download apps but its very limited. Not sure why rte player was omitted as tv3 app is available. Still a great tv thanks op

An android stick will turn any TV into a Smart TV in a real sense. Smart TV's as they are aren't really smart as they are very limited in what you can do on them, the lack of flash being a good example. With an android stick you can use any android app and use your smart phone as a remote.

Are you limited to just the apps on the TV or is there a way to get more?
