Not a huge fan of Civics myself but that looks a nice car, and it'll only appreciate in value.

    Good find.

Whoops missed that. Probably should be in the fixerupper thread.

You do see very few of them these days alright. I thing they are a nice enough car though if you can put up with the reliability :)

Yep, that needs sorting for the winter asap :P

The only car in its class to rival the 406 comfort....

If it were bypassed it'd suggest the matrix leaking, coolant on French wiring..... See where this is going :pac:

It does look very well for the year, pity about that though!

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/citroen-c4/5857032

2004 Citroen C5 with NCT until December 2014 for €850. Seems a bargain to me.

    2.0L Petrol?

    Sounds sale proof to me.

A lot of car however for the money.

I had two of these 2L alfas and will never buy again. Not in Ireland anyway.

On both of them bottom end went shortly after buying it. They drink 1L of oil per 1k km's by their design and owners neglect oil level checks. Even after replacing engine with one from 166 (which has oil level sensor in the sump so should be ok) I couldn't trust the car and sold it on.

One of these cars must have had fresh engine bearings fitted just before I come to buy it and went 40 km's later on way home. Upon stripping the engine I found that one of smaller plugs dropped into the combustion chamber as well at some stage, piston had serious hammering. I found later that it's a common fault with bosch small plugs. Another one.

Sad but true. Although when a 2L petrol French car was last popular here was a very long time ago.

maybe but Id prefer to keep her NA & bung a 3l V6 busso 24v in there from an old 164....

(i seen a 93 164 ts black over grey on thurs in Na-fiannas ground in nth dub)

Id save the 16vt for all the Thema & intergrale restos man!

It's a pity you had bad luck with yours, However, if they are well looked after I believe that they are fairly reliable.
