Thanks a million for the heads up Agueroooo!!

I've been on the look out for a new telly for the last two years (current one needs cardboard to keep the scart plugged in) :o

So raided cashed in the coin collection and its bread and jam for the rest of the week :P possibly next week also.

I'm just back from Argos no problem with the €488 price but I brought the e-mail just in case!

So thanks again and thanks to all the other boardsies for the frequent tip offs through out the week (particularly the one that showed it was available to order thank you penev10) :D

Anyone having problems with their wired network connection? If I do a constant ping to the tv I can see it drops off the network a lot.
Wireless seems to stay up ok without dropping the network. But I wouldn't say Hi def streaming will be great over wifi.
    Same after a System update

Can someone try that with theirs? Just do a ping -t <ip address of tv>
See if it has any timeouts

Anyone tried the dlna streaming on theirs yet? Mine is very flaky. Using the wired ethernet connection.
If I do a constant ping to the tv I can see it drops off the network after about 20-30 seconds on a 720p video and drops after about 10 seconds on a 1080p file.
Not too happy, it's one of the main things I use my tv for.
Havent tried wireless yet, but I will and report back

Edit: Actually it just drops packets anyway in normal operation even if I don't try to stream. Can someone try that with theirs? Just do a ping -t <ip address of tv>
See if it has any timeouts

Edit: I'll try an oul System update

I see lots of words that I know are English, but not a clue as to what they're telling me.

The girl behind till talked to the manager, I talked to the manager and he said they would have honoured it if I collected on Wednesday, but not on the Thursday (I got reservation very kindly of Rock2009).
I argued as best I could but there was no budging.
I didn't have the original email/text so maybe that didnt help.....

This won't make you feel better but the manager you dealt with appears to be the only one who know's the Argos rules regarding reserved items.
Please note that our prices change, sometimes on a daily basis. The price you pay is the price in store on the day you collect your items.
