BTWEA and medical card

    My wife is in BTWEA coming to the end of year 1. She has a medical card.

    Got a letter from SW re renewal of medical card.

    My understanding is that she retains the medical card for the second year as an entitlement under BTWEA.

    Does she fill out the form or just contact SW and tell them she is on the BTWEA scheme?

    Just complete the renewal as usual and providing there are no other major change in circumstance there should not be a problem. Went through the same process myself a few weeks back and the MC was renewed til 2015

    Just an update for anyone going through the same process.

    Now into March and still no decision made. They rolled it over but never told us. It was only when I went to get a script filled that I was informed we were still covered.

    So far they have looked for a host of additional information regarding travel to work and what type of course BTWEA is.

    Quick it's not
